I like photo #1 middle (unless it is too pinky which it may not be in person) because it is unique while still remaining somewhat neutral. The others look lovely with your paint color and granite, but I think that if you ever decide to change your paint color above your cabinets the others may limit you more.

The second picture, right side is also nice, but I like the uniqueness of the other one better.

Can you post a picture that shows them up against the cabinetry as well to see how all the colors tie together, they might help.

I would like to see a little bit of something in the backsplash that connects with the black in the counter. That said, I like the middle one in the first photo, but it's kind of blah. If the inserts are colorful and dark, maybe it would be enough to liven it up. (It's hard to tell the color of those) I also like the mosaic in the 2nd photo, and the 3rd photo assortment, depending on how you lay it out.

What about a pale green subway or natural stone tile. I have my kitchen on "Rate my Space" (I know - UGHH) and everyone is saying that a green tiled backsplash would look great. Green with rust???? They also told me to ditch the plants above the cabinets (my realtor told me to put them up there)....any thoughts?

Your granite is just beautiful and looks great with the wood tones of your cabs;it really warms up the space. Looking at the photo of your kitchen I see a lot going on, lots of decorative accents etc. I would chose a simple backsplash with accents so it doesn't compete with everything else. I like the tile in the last photo but I'd do the off white with the very pretty mosiac with the floral center. Good luck!
