Hello,

I'm in the planning stages of a cottage build and I'm struggling with the kitchen layout. The proposed kitchen is 9' x 9' U shape including a peninsula. I had thought I could place the fridge on one side of the U, the stove on another and the sink & dishwasher on the peninsula.

Any ideas on creating a back splash on a peninsula? I had thought of a two tiered peninsula, but space is at a premium. Or do I even need a backsplash? I can't find too much info/pics of sinks without back splashes.
