I think nana24/Sally left for Houston either yesterday or Friday. She lives right where Gustav is forecast to land. They had already made plans to visit family but are taking extra supplies in case they have to stay away longer than planned because of Gustav.

We're getting some wind from the outer bands but it isn't bad. We're keeping an eye on Hanna and hoping it won't cause a lot of rain at the retreat or as we all travel back home.

Raining and windy here right now supposed to get stronger after 11pm through the night, the storm moved some to the west so expecting winds only between 70/80mph and heavy rain we have been blessed the worst that can happen is the power my go. Will check in when I can.

Thanks Sharon for the news on nana24/Sally. I know there must be others.

Thanks for posting, Gillian. Stay safe! Not being able to sleep much, I had the TV on most of the night keeping track of Gustav.

Thanks for keeping us posted. I pray everyone stays safe. I can't immagine having to suffer the effects of all that wind and rain. It appears the NO is avoiding the worst of it. I hope you all are also. Keeping vidual wish there were more I could do. Jayne

Well we are safe and sound power is on, but we are not through have "Hannah" she will go up the east coast then "Ike" and "Josephine" are on their way, I believe I will have had enough by the time this hurrican season is over.

We got home yesterday around noon. As Sharon said we went to DD in Houston. We are very blessed. We lost part of a fence and a small tree. The neighbors who stayed said it really blew. One neighbor lost a very large patio cover they had put on back of their garage about 6 weeks ago. It is now impaled on a small tree next to their driveway. A communication tower maybe a half mile away is bent double. Many people have shingles off-some more than others. We got water back late yesterday afternoon. We got power back around 11:00 PM. It went off a while this morning but is now back on. We are really blessed. There are still so many places where there is no power. Tornados have been a problem as Gustav moved inland.
In our area there has been no lose of life reported! Thankful for that.

Thank Heaven everything is not as bad as it could have been. So glad everyone is safe. I will pray that it remains that way. It has to be a trial to face so many bad storms. Take care and thank you for the heads up. Jayne
