I like the little cabinet, plates, and coral candles, but IMO the lamp is too tall. I would find a shorter one that comes up parallel to the lowest plate. This tall one is out of proportion to the height of the table.

The individual pieces are nice, but feel unrelated to one another. I think a lamp done in a darker finish, rather than the bright gold, would work better. Also, the candlescape feels too modern for the rest of the pieces and the cabinet. I would look for a ceramic planter that has a handpainted design with some of the coral in it, and put in a green plant for some softness like a fern.

Or, if you are not a faux floral hater, an arrangement with lots of soft greenery and some coral colored flowers.

You could also do away with the lamp, and put a tall orchid in a handpainted pot, the orchid having some of the coral tones.

I would move the cabinet to the left a few inches, tho. It feels like it is too close to the doorway.

Yes to les's comment about moving the table over. I would center it between your picture and plate arrangement on the wall. You will need a third item on the cabinet. Maybe two standing books between the candle arrangement and the lamp. Also , if you can find greenery that looks real- it would look nice on the cabinet as well- tucked behind the lamp, books and candle arrangement. A pretty fabric table runner would give it depth and texture and add color. I love to pick out fabric and design my own. I have them made since I do not sew. You can find pretty runners at Tuesday Morning, Ross or TJ Max. You can fold the center to make it shorter if it is too long.

Thank you all. These were just things I had, so no big deal. I will take the advise and start searching. I really like doing this, so now I have an excuse to do it again.

Now, I know what I should be looking for. You all help so much!

I did move the cabinet, but will move some more.

Again thanks

Susan
