Touchup kits etc

I feel like I am caught between my builder (who installed my cabinets) and the cabinet company. The cabinets (maple, painted white, no glaze) came with a sort of putty-like stick, to cover nicks and (I am assuming) nail heads. Cabinets are installed and look fine, but the builder clearly expects some different sort of touch-up material (maybe a spray ?)to cover some nails (in the crown moulding, mostly). I asked the cabinet folks for a touchup kit, and they sent another putty-stick thing.

What sort of touchup kits are provided with cabinets, especially painted cabinets ?
