bedroom seating

Does anyone have seating in their bedroom. I am looking for a simple upholstered chair, mainly for filler, but also to sit and put on socks, etc. It will not be used for relaxing or anything. I removed a loveseat from that area so you can get an idea of the space. My idea is a chair with our extra nightstand as a table, maybe a large plant next to it.

Pictures would be appreciated. thanks.

Did you mean to post a photo?

I have a chair and a bench in my bedroom.

I'd love to see photos if you can post them. I'm really stumped for ideas. The othyer issue is I don't want to spend a fortune on this chair either. I kind of liked the ones Pier one sells but they are only in certain fabrics which don't work with my colors....chocolate, taupe, yellow/light golds.

kathieo - I will post photos tomorrow. Have been meaning to post my new bedroom update for a while, but need to take some more photos. Look for a new thread titled "Finally, photos of my bedroom update."

Personally, I'm looking for an ottoman for the foot of the bed. I can't seem to find anything, anywhere, that is attractive and not 3 or 4 thousand dollars. *grrr*

I have a simple slipper chair...
it was sitting unused in our basement so I figured why not? It's small scale and works well.

I have an old ladderback rocker in my bedroom. I had an empty corner that always bothered me....I found it at an antique store that was going out of business and couldn't resist-

    newhomebuilder...looking forward to your pictures.
duchamp...that is my feeling about this chair.
loribee, your bedroom is so comfy looking. That is the type of chair I imagined, but finding one that works )(and that I like) is not an easy task.

Target has a simple slipper chair that might work for you. It's not fancy, but it is fairly comfortable and would work for what you've described. We have one in our guest room.

There are some pretty cool chairs up on ebay right now...color may not be right, but take a look at the one I've linked. It's a "buy it now or best offer"...I always make an offer.

Here is a link that might be useful: Ebay chair

mjsee, that's a cute chair but not my color...do you think that fringe was original to the chair???? Somehow I don't think henredon would use finge like that, but I may be wrong.

nicole, thanks for the pics. I'm going to check out PB.

credomk, I like the way that chair looks in your guest room. I originally was looking at slipper chair (no arms) but DH wasn't crazy about them.

    thanks, to all for posting.
