kitchen aid warming drawer

Is the kitchen aid warming drawer the only one that has humidity control and the ability to be fully integrated with your cabinets? My warming drawer will be the only appliance in the butler's pantry and I want it to blend in with my cabinets.

runnymede, I'll let you know. It does have humidity control but so do some others (as I recall both Thermador and Gaggenau did). I bought the Kitchen Aid with the understanding that it was fully integratable but right at this moment my contractor is downstairs trying to figure out how that is supposed to happen as it has little flanges on the side that seem designed to set against the cabinet wall....when and if they figure it out, I'll let you know!

I have the 30" (KEWS105SSS), although no first-hand experience yet (grrrr, not in yet!!!). I chose to just have the SS front since it was under the ovens, felt like it wasn't worth the extra $$ to spend on another panel. But if it's the only appliance in your butler's, I understand wanting to integrate it. I believe the panel would lie like an overlay door. I don't know how flush you were trying to get it gailrolfe - did it work?

I have the KA stainless too! I used it on Easter Sunday dinner and it was GREAT! Here are some pics.

I still don't know...BUT I did find the thread and pictures that led me to expect that it was possible. If you go down the thread linked below, you'll see some pictures of how the drawer was set back a bit. My cabinet maker who has supposedly done this before is coming tomorrow and we'll see if he can still accomplish this. I'll post a picture if it happens (and maybe if it doesn't, too). If I forget (I'm a bit over-the-top right now trying to choose kitchen colors to get my kitchen done) just email me via GW and remind me.

runnymede, I hope you have not already purchased a KA WD...it turns out that the installation of mine has been quite tricky. If you have got it, you will need to get it out and give it to your cabinetmaker BEFORE they do all the drawer, etc measurements in order to make sure that it lines up the way you want it to. My cabinetmaker used the measurements from KA (we mistakenly relied on chipshot's pictures and assumed it was designed for inset drawer) and we have had to cut the metal flanges off the sides and increase the drawer cutout. In addition, there is a little blue light as an off-on indicator which we are drilling a hole for but my cabinetmaker tells me that the ones he did previously came with a little plastic cap inset so that the drawer front was still flat...there was nothing like that with the KA which was obviously (once we got it open) designed to be used with the non-inset style of drawer (I cannot come up with the name this instant) :-)
So in the end, I think mine will be ok but it is clear from my cabinetmaker that there is a brand that is designed to be inset and I have asked him to see if he can get it for me. As soon as he does, I'll let you know. The KA does work but it sure has taken some creative work to make it happen...
