You don't really lose all that much space with a super susan with the pie cut door. I like having a 90 degree corner better than the angled hinged door because it feels more spacious in my small kitchen. However, in a large kitchen I think I'd like the angled door very much.

I've had the hinged door for 20 years on two corner lazy susans. I haven't had any problems. I'm putting two more in my renovation. I use one for tuperware, and one for my pots and pans. I've found them to work well for those purposes.

Cheril, are the rest of your cabinets full overlay? I'm leaning toward the pie cut door but worry that it will not match my other full overlay doors.

I have two corner pie-cut Super Susans with the hinged doors. The deciding factor for me was that with the cutout I was able to lean in further toward the corner wall cabinets and more easily reach things at the back of the bottom wall cabinet shelves. I couldn't do that with the angled-door Super Susans. The Super Susan shelves have much more surface area than the pole-mounted lazy susans in my old kitchen; even with the pie cut-out, I still feel that I'm way ahead of the game.

All that said, you really do have to be very careful how you open and shut the hinged corner doors. It's not as easy as the single angled corner door, but once you get the hang of it there will be no mishaps.
