Texturizing, Wallpaper, Paint ???

I'm hoping some of you can help me out with your suggestions or direct me to some instructions on the best way to go about this.

I have 2 small bathrooms that I would like to texturize the walls and paint.

Both bathrooms have wallpaper applied directly to the drywall without primer and both have 2-3 coats of paint on top of that, with the last coat of paint being semi-gloss.

The wallpaper is securely adhered to the wall and is in good shape. I am not removing it.

I'd like to lightly texturize the walls to cover the imperfections before painting.

I had posted this on the paint forum but had no replies.

Thanks for any help you can give!

Tammy
