Opinions needed!

How do you think this drape looks with my sofa and walls? There are 4 windows in the room. Do you think it is too dark and I should go with a solid drape, maybe a celery green (like the throw pillow)? There is no pattern in the room at all right now. I could do solid drapes and patterned pillows or vice versa.

I like the colors in the drapes and the pattern since you dont have a patterned rug, I think the patterned drapery works fine. I dont like the colors of the pillows. Both pillows are too light against your dark couch. You need mid tones not pastels. You could have both pattern and solid pillows on your couch. I would pull the colors from the drapery fabric.

I love the look of the drapery fabric! I also agree about the color of the pillows-they don't do much for your room. If it were my room, I would pull out that beautiful red color for pillows, and maybe some of the moss green.

I like it! As far as the pillows, I think you can do better. I'd love to see another smaller scale pattern and one in a solid pattern from one of your curtain colors.

I think the drapes are lovely- and I also think the celery pillow works well-(agree that the lighter off white one is too light- maybe with some other patterns or darker colors?
Oh and I do like your wall color very much. What is it?

Thanks so much for your advice! I will look for different pillows. The green pillow is actually the same green from the drapes, it is just hard to see it. I will have to try some red pillows. I bought the cream pillow to tie in with a cream rocker that is in the room. It is for rocking my kiddos so it needs to stay for now!
The color on the walls is BM lenox tan.

The drapes are beautiful - looks like just the right pattern and color to bring your roof alive. Are they the Pottery Barn Simone - looks like them. How about keeping the green pillows and adding a rusty red with them - either solid or perhaps a smaller coordinating print.

I think repeating the drape fabric in a pillow would be good on the sofa. I really like the fabric.

Those drapes are so much prettier than the pillows. If you're afraid that it's too much pattern, why not tailor them a bit and add a solid band down the edges. I've seen that done and it's very pretty and I think it helps to keep patterns from over powering the room.

So it sounds like the consensus is to ditch the pillows and keep the drapes. That is easy! Pillows are easier to work with than drapes. I am actually starting to think that my room does need the pattern since there is virtually no pattern in my house!! I am afraid of decorating! It is a complete phobia for me!

Another vote to keep the patterned drapes - they are lovely! Especially if you don't have any other pattern in the room. I myself have patterned drapes (in red) because all of the other colors in my living room are so neutral.

I agree with "htnspz" that you could do a mix of colored pillows and a coordinating (smaller) pattern, like a houndstooth, paisley or small check in colors that coordinate with the drapes.

Good luck with whatever you decide! :)

Love the drapes. I like the green pillow and would like to see a pillow in the drapery fabric instead of the cream colored one....same as the posts above. Throw that fear out the window and have fun!!!

Do you think the drapes blend in with the wall too much? My husband says they don't stand out enough. Maybe, I should just have him paint the walls a lighter shade! haha!

Love the drapes- really pretty with the paint and sofa!

I have both of those pillows, but in the straw gold color. What is difficult to see in photos is their texture, which is really nice (linen and jute). But really summer-y. I switch out my pillow covers by season, so you could hang on to those for now, but use something different -- deeper colors, heavier texture -- for fall/winter. PB has some cardinal red chenille covers that would look great with your drapes, I bet.

I do like the texture of the pillows. Maybe I will swap the cream one for a straw ccolor and then pick up some pillows with some sort of pattern too.

I REALLY like the pattern in your drapes. Great choice! It looks perfect with your paint color and your furniture. What is your paint color, if you don't mind me asking? Thanks!

Paint color is BM lenox tan! It has only taken me 4 years to find drapes that work!

You did great picking out WTs. You mentioned on your other thread about the furniture arrangement not being able to change because of your couch. I see it's curved. I'd love to see the whole room. I loved curved sofas.

justgotbme -I will take pics of the whole room later. It is truly nothing exciting! It is not decorated other than with a Thomas Train Table and Wooden Princess Castles right now! The sofa is not curved but angles out on the sides. I do like it for functionality but it is hard to place it in the room. It can only go in one spot and is huge! But it is great for 3 kids!

I love that kind of home decor. It's the best kind.
About your sofa. I meant to say "conversation". Our daughter had a curved sofa so that just came out, but both angled and curved are often called conversation sofas since it's easier for that sort of use since you're not all sitting straight ahead. You called it a sectional, I think, in the other thread. Does that mean it comes apart?

Love the drapes, maybe buy one more panel to make pillow covers. Also, Pottery Barn has those chenille pillows at a better price on their "unadvertised specials list" when you call in, great deal. Barb

Justgotabme - it is a sectional that comes apart into 2 pieces!
    Barb- thanks for the info!

Of course not everyone likes that look.

NoI can't separate the sofa. The pieces have an unfinished look on the ends when separated!

That's too bad. They really shouldn't do that, but I've noticed that in other sectionals lately.

Like the drapes. I would not go with green pillows, as that seems to be a dominate color in the drape. I would go with the red. No, the drapes do not blend into the walls.

I really like the drapes with the wall color and the couches. They don't blend into the wall at all.
