Check this out... I looked on-line at Sears and The Great Indoors (a sears holding company)...for the Kitchenaid Model# KUDD03DTPA Custom 24 in Double-Drawer Dishwasher. At the Sears site (Item# 02213376000) is $1079 (reg $1799), while at the Great Indoors (Item# 02213376000), the same unit, is $989 (reg $1649). I really would have thought the Great Indoors (which has more high-end appliances) would have been more.... Since they are both part of Sears, I wonder if the Sears store would match the The Great Indoors price?

Fantastic! The model I picked is $138 cheaper than my local appliance store was going to give it to me for, which was a decent price already. I think I'll go back there and haggle with them (I'm going to be purchasing my pro style range from them, and other items which can't be had at Sears, regardless of pricing) and if they can't match the Sears price I'll just wind up buying over there.

Wow, Many, Many thanks for posting this. Like you I have been wavering between KA conventional and FP drawers. I am just reading too many things about faulty drawers and I am in a rural community with NO local servicemen so as much as we REALLY wanted drawers (as a couple w/o kids taking several days to fill a regular dishwasher) I am hoping the KA will be more reliable. I ordered today to get the savings and found that I am also eligible for a $50 government rebate (cash for clunkers). It's super to get this kind of savings.

I would have had no idea about this sale without you. Of course, I may have to walk around it in the condo because our storage is FULL, and they are just setting forms for our house. Thanks to the OP! I called Lowes and they said they'd do the PM but not the 10% more as the item is a special order. But then, to make it even easier, I asked the rep at the place where I'm buying my BS and Sub and micro and steam over and he said he'd PM so I don't have to deal with another vendor.

Now, I just have to decide between the KUDE60 and KUDE70. From another thread here in GW I understand the difference is only noise level, and one likely I wouldn't hear anyway, so I'm thinking go with the KUDE60 at $945... but then the KUDE70 is only $45 more at $990. Any tips on the -60 vs. the -70 given the small price difference?

I chose the 70 for the location of the controls. I wanted them hidden. Can't wait to get it although like bbabers I'll have to walk around mine for a while awaiting installation since we haven't even demo'd the kitchen yet. That begins today. If I ever get off the GW and get my tookis in gear.

Thank you for sharing this info. beekeeperswife! Lowes would not PM on special order so I went to Sears to get my KD dishwasher. I ended up getting such a great deal that I bought other appliances too which were 30% off.

I purchased a Samsung French door frig. and a Samsung FL washing machine. I had a great couple (sales team) that was helping me and they tried to sell me the warranty (which I never buy). I asked if there was anyway that I could get an additional 10% off if I bought the warranty. Long story short, I bought a warranty on the dishwasher and washing machine to get an additional 10% off the entire purchase. It ended up so that the discount covered the warranty price so I kind of got them for free.

There's nothing like the feeling that you get when you do some smart shopping. And I can't wait to try out my new FL washing machine. My TL Maytag is 15 years old!

I want to add my thanks for the heads up, as well. I had previously priced out the best place to buy my KA dishwasher and frig, then bought them on Friday morning (at 6:00 a.m.!!!)for the FL rebates, and today got my price differential refund from the store due to Sears lower price.

Just in case; here is a link for a $75 rebate on KA installation.

For me Sears had a $159 charge for delivery and install, Lowes has a $100 charge, bringing it to just $25 after the rebate. So I went to Lowes.

Lowes just PM the KUDS40FVss for me today. It is their PM policy to also offer 10% off with the PM. The salesperson declined. It was a special order.

Once I got home I read the fine print, as well as that with the 10% off KA appliances. There was no reason my purchase should not have qualified for one or the other. I called customer service and they agreed. I'm waiting to hear back from the store.
