Runner #2

I am on a roll with these runners, can't seem to stop. This is one that I finished yesterday. I have another ready to sandwich tonight. I think I may give the to my Gdaughters for part of Christmas. They are so easy and fun. Jayne

I have to find that box of Christmas scrap I have hanging around here! These are just great table runners. I think I'll have to make one for myself!

    Hi Nannajayne,
Just love your latest runner. You have inspired me to make a Christmas holly runner. Excellent!

Jayne, You have also inspired me to make a table runner. I love holly leaves! I have a huge bin full of Christmas fabric...I'm thinking I'll cut some of it into strips and be ready...maybe put them into a smaller bin with a pattern so I'll remember what I had in mind! Now I wish I could stay home today and sew!

Keep them coming....They just get better and better...I've gotten so many ideas, now to find the time....(I guess if I'd get off this puter, that would help)....Thanks for sharing,

    Hi everyone,
I have #3 quilted and just need to put the binding on. I have so much Christmas stash that I plan on making more as I figure they arn't costing anything but time. I hope you all send pictures when you make one. I am looking forward to them. I used gold thread, when I was ready to give up I remembered I like using the YLI gold for such projects and switched. End of problems. Jayne

Nanajayne-your runners are inspiring. I would love to have the pattern for this one.Can you tell me where to find it? You ladies are so talented.

Jayne, Here's what you girls with table toppers inspired! I didn't quite follow the directions, haven't quilted it yet, need to put the holly leaves on plus, I birthed it!

I got if from an earlier post. The site was: http://www.quiltbut.com/tabletopper.htm. I do my own variations. Finished another one but wrapped it before I took pictures. I only did crosshach in the center with the gold thread and quilted with gold. It was navy background with gold snowflacks, a christmas postcard print and the white holly I used above. I liked it the best so far. Have a couple more in the works. Jayne

I am happy you shared. I think it is great. I like the way you used different fabrics. I have considered doing that myself. Arn't they easy and a fun way to use up fabric? It reminds me of the first one that I made. I usually quilt before the binding but I think with these it wouldn't matter. Jayne

Thanks, Jayne. I like to use from my scraps as much as I can...especially for a trial run of a pattern I haven't done before. Because of birthing it, I didn't use binding, that is a narrow border the same fabric as the backing...my thought was to make it look like binding. @:) I'm in the process of making another one but using the same 3 fabrics. This one will be a 'fun' one..... (smile)

I haven't done any of these in Christmas colors, but love them too. I have made several of them for friends and family. Its like candy, one and you are hooked to make them all the time, I am about ready to start another.

    How fun.

I couldn't find the pattern but yours are lovely. I may try a "trial and error" one with scraps. I like the darker Christmas fabric one. You do such a nice job. How big would you say that it is?

They are addictive. I made 2 more today. Have to bind them. That will make 5 so far. They make great gifts for those whom you want just a little something as well as a great way to use up the stash. Jayne
