I only have bedding from PB Kids or PB Teen. I can say they wear like iron, but the pillowcases drive me batty in that they are crumpled up at the open end when they come out of the dryer. Doesn't affect the quality, and I suppose I could press them. But they are comfy and soft and wear well.

I have the the Hadley Ruched (just looked.....currently on sale) and it has held up nicely. No complaints.

We've had three duvet covers and shams from PB, and we've been very happy with them!

I just bought my son the Madras quilt/shams from PB kids, and we're happy with it so far. I haven't washed it yet, so I don't know how it will hold up.

We bought a gender neutral crib set (quilt, bumper, crib skirt, sheets) seven years ago and it still looks like new, even after being used by two boys. The crib set has held up great, even after many washings.

I've had PB duvet covers and shams for a few years now and they've held up very well. I have them on my kids' beds too. I wouldn't hesitate to buy duvet covers or shams from PB again. I bought my first PB sheet set for myself recently and have been less than thrilled. They wrinkle so easily and feel much thinner than the kids sheets.

I would definitely wait until it was on sale. We've had two PB duvet covers and shams for two different bedrooms getting varied amounts of use. They both lasted ---looking good--about 2 years. If you wash them too often they'll fall apart. On sale they're worth it, but I would never pay full price.

Looks like I'm the dissenting voice here. I have several PB and PB Teen duvet covers and sheets sets because my DD loves their designs, and while some are good quality, others are not. They are rough and are not particularly color fast. And frequent washing makes them threadbare quickly. In my opinion, for the price the quality isn't that great.

I think it can also depend on the fabric. . .I looked a one duvet/sham set. . .100% cotton but it was roughwoven and scratchy . . like cheap sheets. . .the one I bought is 100% cotton but feels soft and silky. Hopefully you can see the "real thing" in the store and then buy on sale online!!

Last July we bought DD a PB Teen duvet cover, sheet set, throw pillow cover, another throw pillow and curtains . . . all for her dorm room. She tells me that she laundered the sheet set once a week and the duvet cover about once a month, as it has a white background and she and her friends used the bed as a sofa a lot of the time (in other words, typical dorm room use). So, the duvet cover got a lot of use. She did complain initially that her sheet set was more scratchy than the ones I have here at home, but tells me they eventually softened up.

This Summer, she ordered another coordinating sheet set from PB Teen to go with them. They were somewhat on the scratchy side, as well, but she laundered them several times to soften them up before heading back to college.

We moved her into her sorority house this past weekend. As I made up her bed and hung the curtains (among many other things- LOL), I made a point of checking out how everything was holding up. No hems coming out. No fading, noticeable shrinkage or uneven wear. I was impressed, Everything still looked new.

We've purchased a duvet cover, quilt, shams, and sheets from PB. They held up fine. I did get them at outlet prices. Also, we ordered duvets and quilts for our boys' beds, and they held up very well too. I wouldn't hesitate to purchase from PB again.

On a side note, we have some bath towels (made in Turkey) from PB, and they are the very best towels I have ever owned. No loose threads or lost absorbency after six years of use.

I have the Grand Embroidered duvet and pillowcases. I bought them as a second set for our bed. I got them on sale and definitely wouldn't pay full price, but they are working out well after 1 year. The pillowcase openings, as someone else mentioned, are awfully wrinkled when they come out of the dryer. They do have a duvet set that is "no wrinkle" but it was more expensive. Not sure if that would be better.

I buy most of my bedding from PB and haven't had any problems. The quilt (heavy) I bought from them a few years ago sometimes gets washed once a week if there's snow on the ground from paw prints. White background and it washes out every time!

I also buy my grandchildren's sheets from them too and they seem to last forever.

Wait until they have a sale which is fairly often.

I have a quilt and shams from PB Kids that was in daily use in my dd's room for about 8 years and it still looks great. I don't need it anymore as she redecorated, but I can't bear to get rid of it as not only could it later be used as guest bedding, but it's just still in such great shape.

OTOH, the sheets that I bought to go with that bedding, which are gingham sheets, had the same problem someone else mentioned - the pillowcases were always crumpled on the ends which I HATED. As a busy mom of four very young kids then (at the time, my oldest dd was 6 y/o), I didn't have time to iron them. I ended up later buying different pillowcases elsewhere.

Last year we redid my oldest's bedroom and she chose a duvet from PB Teen. I can't stand duvets b/c no matter how much you try, the comforter inside never stays in place and the duvet always looks messy. However, that's a personal issue I suppose. That said, just this morning I was removing the sheets to wash them - I bought solid color (lavender) organic cotton sheets from PB Teen and the middle of the sheets is totally discolored/faded from the outside third on either end. I suppose it's from sitting on her bed, but I've never ever had that happen before and these sheets are only a year old. What a waste. So far, the duvet and matching sham seem to be holding up, but it's only been a year. I also bought some white pillowcases with embroidery on the edges and those are doing well too. Those were not organic cotton. So perhaps my advice would be to stay away from organic cotton if you don't want to worry about fading.

I would still consider buying decorative/outer bedding from them but will no longer waste money buying any sheets especially since I can get much better quality for less expense elsewhere.

Kids quilts won't wear out. Just get softer with washing.

We are on our second set with our 11 yr old boys. Kept the ones they outgrew for extra blankets. Too nice to give away.

I have purchased a few quilts, sheets and a duvet cover over the last decade or so. Nothing has worn out yet. I even bought a used patchwork quilt on craigslist that has held up great. They've all worn really well and I wash our bedding, even the quilts, weekly, due to our pets napping on the beds. The duvet cover washes beautifully and comes out of the dryer without wrinkles. I like that the pillow shams and cases have flaps built in to cover the ends of the pillows.Except for the CL quilt, I buy our PB bedding at the outlet. It's two hours away, and I get there once or twice yearly.

My PB bedding (duvets and shams) have held up well but I will only buy from the store from now on after seeing the bedding in person. IMO, their photos of bedding online tend to look different than the actual item in real life. I ordered one set that looked red and ivory and when it arrived, it was actually rust and tan. Another set appeared to have an almost white background in their online photos but in person the background is a pale yellow.

The quilts are pretty amazing, actually. They last and last usually. I've had duvet covers that also have held up very well. I think the sheets are nice, but you could get cheaper ones for the same quality.

I'm a little disappointed with my duvet and shams. The shams were off my bed for several months and when I put them back on I can see drastic fading in the duvet cover (compared to the shams that were not washed as many times).

Purchased the Grand Embroidered 200-Count Sheet set with an extra set of pillow cases. Love the sheets -- but not the ironing. The fitted sheet comes out of the dryer all crumpled up, as does the flat sheet and pillow cases. And they don't iron easily. I mean, even with extra hot iron, steam and spray, it smooths out the wrinkles, but doesn't completely get rid of them. Here's how the pillow cases come out the dryer. Like I said, beautiful sheets if you like ironing.

Ginger my PB sheets are exactky like yours! They are a wrinkled mess. I have a king set in the Grand Embroidered pattern. No amount of ironing seems to make them smooth. It is like sleeping on a paper bag! Never again will i buy a set of pottery barn sheets. Very, very dissapointed.

From the picture it looks like the sheets are shrinking and the embroidered part is gathering as a result. I would give their customer service a call and tell them about the problem. I sure hope they offer you some kind of a fix.

I have two solid percale cotton duvets, in the same print and have been very happy with them. Although I have to admit both the duvets as well as several decorative pillow coverings have a problem with buttons falling off. There have been times when they've come out of the dryer very wrinkled but to fix it I stick them back in on a lower setting with a wet towel. That does the trick to my satisfaction but they are still some what wrinkled. I've been told that with percale cotton there will always be a little bit of wrinkling. The thing is I love their pretty prints as well as the weight and cool crisp feel of the sheeting they use so I guess that's the trade off.

I did buy a set of their Classic Sheets about 4 years ago and while i really liked everything about them including the truly extra large pockets on the fitted sheet, they didn't last as long as I would have expected a sheet set in that price range to last. Within a couple of years, I started seeing tears in the fitted sheet and they were done. Mind you we change our sheets weekly alternating between two sets, I wash them without bleach and in a front loader which is less harsh on fabrics. So in reality they only lasted about a year, maybe a year and a half at best...haven't bought them again for this reason.

I think like everyone else PB's quality has dropped considerably and sadly their stuff is no longer worth the prices they charge.

I have a 12 year old pieced quilt from Pottery Barn that I use Fall through Winter. It is washed at least every other week, sometimes even in hot water due to cats that always sleep with me. It has worn perfectly; became soft and only slightly faded. It has had no unraveling whatsoever.

I also have a solid matelese type Bottery Barn quilt that is about 6 years old. I don't like it as well. It hasn't softened much and has many loose threads and some unraveling. It doesn't get as much cat action, so is usually washed in cold water and has not faded at all.

I have 2 sets of Pottery Barn teen sheets that I use on the guest bed. They are about 5 years old and all of my guests ask where they came from, they love them. They have held up very well to approximately monthly washing. I usually wash those in hot water. I know others don't wash sheets in hot. But I can't help but think about sweat and skin flakes and whatnot that just goes along with sleep, you know? :-)

As lukk mentioned, the sheets can be quite wrinkled out of the dryer. Because they are for guests, I sometimes press the pillow cases. The sheets have that elusive "soft but with come crispness' feel and body. I'll take a little wrinkling over that 'too soft and slick' feel any day!

I love when quilts wear like that. I have one of those old Shabby Chic Quilts from back in the day (90's?) I bought from all places, Target and it's on our bed right now. A little tattered and worn of course, but it's the perfect summer blanket and I can imagine giving it up. I stuff it into our PB Duvet and wha la.

Yes, you describes them perfectly, "soft but with some crispness". The weight and feel of their linens is perfection, I just wish they had lasted longer (and the buttons would quit falling off!)

I purchase the organic cotton PB classic sheet set. WORST purchase ever. They keep getting holes all throughout the sheet set, including the pillow cases. I thought for sure Pottery Barn would replace these sheets, but they do NOT stand behind their promise of quality. I have many, many sheets and I have never had this problem before or currently with any other sheets I own. Too bad. I am very unhappy with the quality of these sheets. Wamsutta offers a 10 yr warranty. I would choose a company willing to back it's product. Thanks for reading.

My pottery barn Sky blue duvet cover completely faded and has been washed once . It isn’t used because it is in guest bedroom.

I have a tencel blue quilt from PB, it is a couple of months old and has little white balls all over it!

I purchased a duvet two months ago. It was $424 and is unusable because it is so "pilled" that it is uncomfortable on my skin. I sent two emails with pictures and never received a response. I called customer service and was told that "all our duvets pill, there's nothing we can do about it." As I replied, well it would have been nice to know that before I spent this kind of money. Given their unwillingness to stand behind their products I will never buy from Pottery Barn again.

Look up their ceo name and send an email that may help. Just an FYI they do not allow comments about products on their website!! I hate them!
