chrome, orb AND stainless??

I HAVE to pick a faucet. It's killing me.

The dilemma: appliances are stainless, cab hardware is (likely) orb. The lighting is all cans, but lighting in adjacent, totally open to rooms is orb schoolhouse. You can see all these lights from the kitchen. I planned a stainless bridge faucet for the white farmhouse sink, but I am repeatedly drawn to a chrome one. Is three metals too many different in a small (9x16) space?

Option two - bag the orb cab hardware and do chrome with the faucet, but them there is no obr in the space and I fear it loses its 'tie' to the rest of the rooms.

Help me, please. If I spend one more night looking at faucets I'm just going to run the garden hose through the window and call it good!

You made me laugh with your last sentence....
I have 3 finishes as well in the kitchen, appliances are ss, hardware and pendants are nickel and faucets are orb, I carried the orb in the light fixtures and the nickel in the hardware on the cabinets into the family room which is open to the kitchen. I think as long as you have the tie in to the other areas as you mentioned you should be ok.

I see a chrome faucet as completely neutral in a kitchen. In other words, it goes with whatever other metals you have. If you are repeatedly drawn to the chrome, go with your gut!

I think it will look great. I agree that chrome is neutral. The one thing I have noticed in kitchen magazines is that they tend to use the chrome bridge faucets in more formal kitchens. I called a few high end plumbing showrooms with my questions and I think that it a great source of info too. Good Luck.
