Can you take that off for washing,and if so how is it closed,zipper,velcro etc??Also is it just 2 pieces sewn together front to back,and how big is it?? Looks simple enough,but anyone would need to know the answers to the questions i asked.For me,i've never seen one of those,so have no idea of the size,and/or whatever else it needs.

I would think that by the time you figure out a pattern, drive to the fabric store, buy the fabric, drive home, trace the pattern, cut it out and stitch it it would be cheaper to buy a couple. I'm all for saving money, but sometimes it just doesn't workout that way.

I would suggest: turn the pillow case inside out, trace around it on paper (plastic grocery bags work well to) about 1/2" larger. Sew it around and put the closeure in what ever it is. Since you are using a double knit fabric it doesn't have to be perfect. I would also suggest using a couple of your husbands old T-shirts for your first try, then buy some fabric if you wish.
