Congratulations. I found a 185J at a yard sale for $25 and I thought I did good. And yours is in a cabinet! I havent used mine much so far but it just hums along. Great little workhorse.

I cleaned & oiled the little machine. Filled me a bobbin & sewed along.....just hums......perfect stitches. I forgot to say, the cabinet is identical to the one my very first machine was in. I bought a tradein when I finished high school with money from graduation gifts. I sold that cabinet & bought a desk one that folds out on both sides to 6 feet...still in use. I completely wore that machine out.

Now this only straight stitches & has a reverse. I already vision the Diva claiming it. Her new hobby is going machine to machine unthreading them & rethreading them. At 8, she may think she's too growny for this simple little thing.
