Hello everyone!

I just discovered this site this morning and already have read many great topics.

I'm a farmwife from Nebraska. It's just DH and DD2 at home now. I used to make quilts all the time but I'm so busy anymore that I never get more than patching jeans done. In a couple weeks I will begin a new job where I will stich quilt tops together from home. So I'm trying to get my sewing area straightened out and set up for some heavy duty sewing. Hopefully this job will get my creative juices flowing again so I can take on more fun projects like I used to do.

Nice to meet all of you!

Hi there and welcome!!! Bet you have had some REALLY cold weather up there...hope spring does come early for you!
Quilting is beyond me...I don't have the patience...I sew all the time but it is window treatments, duvets, table linens, pillows...etc..
Have a good week and we'll be sending warm Texas thoughts!

Welcome from sunny Florida, MeMo. I don't quilt but am thinking of trying a quillow. Have you made one? This is a great board, happy to welcome you to it!

Thaks for the warm welcome. I might just go check out the quilt forum when I get a few minutes. I'm afraid I might get sucked in over there and never get another thing done LOL!

Mary, I haven't done a quillow but I'm considering doing some of those beach bag / beach blankets for my kids and grandkid. Just got some fleece to make a robe for my daughter. I'm using Simplicty 7018. It was a spur of the moment thing since the patterns were $.25. Can't beat that!

I want to make them all some fleece socks too. Thought I'd stick them in their stockings next Christmas. Can anyone recommend a good pattern for them? I've seen so many, I'm not sure if there is one that is better than another.

hi I just found this site less than a hour ago as I was searching for a presser foot for my machine. I'm looking forward to getting new ideas . I live in East,Tennessee near the Smokie Mountains. I have 3 three grown children and 6 grandchildren. 3 grands are less than 6 months. Nana's having a ball!

Welcome ladies! Always nice to have some new company around the table or quilt frame. Lots of wonderful creative people here and people with knowledge to share. This is a wonderful place to touch base with other sewers out in the big world and share the world of sewing. Welcome.

I'm in NE OK w/ grown sons and a passel of grands from 21 to 7. And a great-grand almost 2. Work full time, wish I had the sewing talent to make my blouses (my phrase is "I sew at-it"), but I so enjoy reading your projects. Hope it's ok to pop in or even comment from time to time.
