We just moved into a house that has a very awkward gas fireplace (sorry no pics) it's in our living room and is white and very boxy and stands around 5 ft high and 3 ft wide. Our ceilings are only eight feet tall so it looks quite strange. We found out it's vented that high as well so we can't remove the box and make something lower. Anyone have good ideas? We were thinking of perhaps bringing it to the ceiling and putting stone. There is nothing on either side of the fireplace box.
