You could add in almost any bold color in this beautiful room....such as red, green, orange...etc...If u like the bold colors that fiesta wear comes in, I would display some above the cabinets/not a ton so it doesn't look cluttered. I agree with adding color to the seat cushions and maybe light globes also. Then a runner or few bright rugs with same colors on floor!! Nice room!!

This is a lovely kitchen that doesn't need a lot of decor. Consider art, a bowl of fruit and some colorful cookware.

Not that I know what I'm talking about, but I agree with the bold colour suggestion..i immediately picture a red kitchen aid mixer, a red oversize utensil holder..a few accessories would make a huge difference..

Since you have little wall area to paint, and the space does not seem to be on view from another room, I'd start with a brighter wall color. Maybe something like this: Then add white pottery, silver trays, etc. -- whatever you like and have.

if you like neutrals add a massive Moroccan or Oriental style vase or pot in cream or silver for some character?
or maybe a modern style bamboo tray with handles to counter top ladlen with large colored (your fave color..) glass jars for cookies etc..

Don't worry about wall color at all. Gove you ceiling a color taken from you backsplash tiles. Then change the hardware on you island to something colorful. You have two much of that English pewter hardware - it becomes monotonous. Then paint your island chairs a lovely shade of rose. Voila!
