today, I uploaded some pictures from cd's that have been waiting for soooooo long to be transfered.
finally, in my old age, I got a computer worth its weight in thinset!

lol........they aren't for totems...
each of the vases and clear jars are holding broken dish pieces.
I spent all my time, while living up on the canal, while I was beachcombing, sitting in the evenings, just nipping dozens and dozens of dishes.
everytime I went to a ts, or value village, I used to get a vase or two, so the day would come that I didn't have to go searching for the base of any mosaic.
and yes, when the sun shines in, it's sparkly...
it's totally therapeutic, to sit and cut up dishes!

What a nice big, bright area you have! I think the hutch got it in my head that this was your kitchen. As I scrolled through the other pictures I wondered where the kitchen table was lol. It's funny how your eye sees some things but not everything. I caught the cowboy boot right away, but I didn't see the black pump (right next to it, duh) until the close up shot. Are you going to mosaic the shoes?

one of the shoes is prepped already, with masking tape and the vases in the cabinet I did make.
I think I made them either just before or just after the frying pan...I know they all have the same cut up dishes.

I'm working slowly on another fry pan. I don't know why, just wanted to.
I've gotta get that 6" ball, too...
the sunshine is really helping me get more busy...this dreary weather is a true downer, for these months.
Monday was just plain ugly and I wanted to stay in bed all day but couldn't.
one thing for sure though, is ..it's nice not to have to break up my days, for babysitting anymore.
I'm down to one evening a week, to oversee the grands, while their mom is in a night class...again....
she transfered to the 4yr. college to finish her course.
she goes on Saturdays, and I only kinda keep an eye on them.
phone calls and such..that's when I want a couple of them to start to get interested in mosaicing with me, for this up and coming spring and summer.

they don't have any markings on the back at all....

Sea my plates came from my Grandma...I have 3 plates each with a different scene. I couldnt tell you where she got them. On the back mine dont say anything either other than a warning about being for decorative purposes only. I went and looked at my plates and they are almost identical...they are a bit different but boy did I think it was the same when I first saw it!!! Slightly different but very close!!!
