The only ribbon that I know of that tears like, that is florists ribbon!

Would you share photos of the ribbon birds and also instructions. I recall that many years ago we made woven birds from a plastic material, cut in thin, ribbon like strips. They were made into pins that were worn on a lady's shoulder. Eye-catching and interesting. I wonder if these are the same??? I believe I made these in Girl Scouts.
We all enjoy learning about new projects and crafts.

The instructions were in a very old Pack-O-Fun magazine, pages 24 & 25, November 1972. Maybe they could be contacted online. Here are some pics using ribbon birds. It's hard to explain how to weave them. The florist said for me to check back with them after the holidays when she can call her vendors about the ribbon.

Notice how the body of the bird lights up with the color from the mini light.

This gold bird is fabric ribbon which I had to cut the strips with scissors.
