A friend did this for her mother - Made appliqued handprints on a cushion cover, embroidered child's name and age on each and the year. The hands formed a ring....two of the kids were twins, and then the baby's hands were interspaced so it formed a circle. It was done in red with Christmas print hands .....each hand was different fabric. At the bottom was a wide ribbon just stitched on...so think a handwreath and bow idea. I hope this makes sense, the result was very nice and sits on my friends bed.

Depends on how old the child is? You could make a baby quilt with the hands in the middle of the quilt.

How about the handprints appliqued on the pockets of a kitchen apron? I really like the wreath idea. I've seen that done with green paint on muslin and sewn into a small wall hanging.

A pillow case or throw pillow would be very nice also. Love the kitchen apron idea too.

How about cut it out of muslin , Then embrodery inside the saying"We hold our childrens hands for awhile,and there hearts forever" like a stitchery, then frame it in with another fabric,, and frame it and date it
