Well, you l'il heifer. That is truly amazing. MARBLES - I have some but am afraid to use them. You've given me an idea on how to use some very thick mirror glass I have stashed. That truly is a wonderful piece of art, girlie. BRAVO. I can't tell if he has space for an eye.

First look at this guy! I can just see it hanging in a fishing lodge lodge.........or a restaurant..or on my wall! Love the way put beads or marbles in between the mirrors! Colors are really pretty...this will really twinkle when the sun hits it! Beautiful job!!!

Love the background! What a wonderful idea to intersperse the marbles with the mirror....his scales look so perfect with them, too!

He's gonna have an eye after he's grouted! 1/2 marble. Gonna grout today and let him loose, hopefully "Erin The Heron" ain't lurkin' round!lol!

I missed your other post. What kind of tiles did you use? The colors and texture are so unusual. It does give it a really rustic look.

Great looking guy and perfect background. Love the combos you used of dark and light. You used a glass saw to cut the mirror, right? I have some thick mirror pieces from a big one I broke (no bad luck, just more materials) but no saw. I'm thinking that's the only way to cut it.

Holy Fishes! That is a good-looking salmon. I love how you did the background. I thought those were bb's or beads, they are marbles? Very small marbles, huh. Anyway, great job, love the whole picture. The tiles in the salmon are so beautiful.

Forgot to mention I was inspired after wracking my brain for a background by Bama's butterfly! I just love the peewee marbles that I scored from my buddy CozyCat! The mirror tiles were hand cut and REALLY poorly done, I can't cut a straight line even if my life depended on it!!! I know, use a ruler, blah blah blah, but I AM JUST PATHETIC AT IT!!! I'd even screw it up if I used my saw, I kid you not!!! So I just do it anyways and call it "I meant it to look like that!!!"heh heh!
