I love my ring saw. It can cut anything at and any way you want to cut it. It is awesome.I also have a tile cutter but it only does straight cuts.

Yup, what Gretch said, tile saws only cut straight. But the taurus is usually around $4-$5oo but cuts all kinds of neato shapes! Depends on what you are willing to spend, or if you are like me, obsessive compulsive about tools, you'll have both!lol! My tile saw was $100 and I just bought a $100 blade for it!Sheesh! And just bought a $100 blade for taurus too! Ahhh, the obsession continues....

Thanks! OK nice, went to the site and it has lots of blade options! It comes with a basic blade, then for replacements, what the heck are separating, dichroic, slim, mega.....!!!

I prefer the wet saw. I can manage to get curves w/it also, but not as easily as w/the Taurus. Seldom use the ring saw. Would give it up if I had the choice of keeping one.

Wet saw is definately gonna be a faster cutter on plates DJ

I've heard some of the other girls talk about cutting plates with there wet saw. I have yet to use mine for that though. I like having both the wet saw and the ring saw. I made my slate steps with the wet saw and couldnt have done it without it but I also use my ring saw for the unique cuts and couldnt do those without that!!!!!

I'd be like Jane if you can and get both!!!!! But thats just my opinion. Nice has cut alot of plates with her ring saw and is still (last I checked anyhow) still using the same blade!!

DIAMOND - like butter. I first used it to cut cups, bowls and vases in half. Can't do that w/a ring saw. Got tired of nipping w/the wheeled nippers, so the wet saw is perfect.
