Well I'll be - y'all sure make me smile and enjoy morning coffee. Thanks for your wonderful comments. I labored over this piece - just couldn't put things together, but it'll have to do. Re the tesserae and adhesive. Weldbond on flat pieces and GE II on others, BIANCHI. WACKY - the green things are glass globs from Michael's last spring - got them in several colors in the flower section. The black silver are really purple - Christmas ornaments cut apart - that's a poly clay piece they surround, and nothing happened in grouting. Used a paint pen in the grooves, and they stayed on, but I touched up after grouting just to emphasize. PANTHR - she's nineteen - second yr. in college - last year made 4.0 average - an art major.

What tremendous creativity you have to put all that together; that is really a stunning piece! Wonder where your DGD gets her artistic nature and of course, her smarts...
