Mosaic Table Top

This is todays project that I completed this afternoon. Ya know, the more I play with glass, the more I do NOT want to go back to work next Monday when my Christmas vacation is over! lol Anyway, this is a little table that a co-worker was going to throw away before remembering I'll refurbish anything so she brought it to moi :-)

Okay - y'all are making me think I'm weird or something about working too quickly. I haven't even shown you the little tool caddy WIP I worked on this afternoon! On second thought, maybe I am weird ~ lol ~ all I've thought about this week has been stained glass and mosaics and I've been working non-stop to take advantage of the last few days of my vacation! This was made from the stained glass scraps from the table above.

Love the bright colors but I'm green with envy about those perfect circles! Circle cutter?

No circle cutter but one is on my wish list :-) Just plain old cutting and grinding (the yellow's are supposed to be circular, the red's have a funky shape on the bottom to accommodate the leaves)

Very cute table. It turned out great. Reminds me of hard candies or bubble gum balls. The floor nice too, did you do that??

On your tool caddy what kind of tile do you have on the edges. It looks thick but cool. I cant tell from the pics if it is a piece of tile cut in half and placed on end or if its a piece of tile laid flat. Love the color combination!!

Icheer, I can't believe how beautiful your things are and how quick you work. Seriously, I don't think I could ever finish something in a day. Unless it was small. Really, really small ...

It's kinda hard to type with my mouth sooo wide open from awe! One day?? And if you didn't even have to get out of your pajamas that would make it a perfect day!!!
Very, very nice! LOVE the colors!!

Oh love those give me things. That is one colorful table. I truely like it. And the the other is awsome to.

Y'all are too sweet :-) The thick, bumpy tile on the borders is 3/8 vit, cut in half, and placed bottom side up. Still waiting for grout... between puttying that large panel Wednesday and grouting that table top yesterday, my arm was too pooped to get the grout out again ~ lol.

Leaving in a bit to go and play with glass with a gal I met on another message board. She's been at this for years and I hope to learn a lot. She's got a ring saw she promised to demonstrate for me so I can figure out if I should keep lusting for one or move on to dreaming of other tools :-)

    Y'all have a great day!

GOOD GRIEF, girlie. You're a dynamo. Love both pieces, and I'd say you do such great work, you don't NEED a ring saw.

Great job,it would take me weeks to do...wish I had your speed!

Need and Want are two different things.....aren't they!lol!
Have fun today with your new buddy! Am I the only one who can't get those glass tiles to nip in half nicely??? They always seem to go wonky on me!!! I'd use the ones I have more, if I knew "The Secret" of getting them to break straight!!! Any tips out there to put me out of my misery???
