Just because I am from the Show Me State. Why can't you cut the pieces and then paint the backs of them? Is it too hard to keep track of where they go or? And did you use Oil or acrylic?

Thanks y'all. WENCH: I'm familiar with Jackie's work--and I ADORE her early stuff! My favorite is the box she has on Maria's site.
SHADES: I tried to cut the pieces, using the pistol grip cutter and nippers. The corner pieces wouldn't work in the grinder and I was having to cut them in half (which is what I didn't want). Very tedious. THEN paint (acrylics). Had a brilliant idea of using polymer clay so I started cutting those out but darn my problem is not taking the time to do things properly (versus making something "work"). So I'll wait for my order from Maria and get out the ring saw and see how that goes. I bought a program on the internet that lets you design your own knots using key strokes. Very cool.

Rosie Thanks for the explanation on the problem. Think I got it. I just bought some paints to try a little Fauxgough. I did paint some chip glass with oil paints. Then I was told here I need to spray the backs. So will get it al lined out and dash outside spray fast then back in We are having cold temps here.
