Thanks for posting the actual pictures for me Bama! The tiles the mirror is sitting on are the leftover one's from the mirror - same ones. Nice - Yes - I strung those beads and then glued them, grouting wasn't fun, but it was my first time. Thanks for your nice comments, I'll post more pics when I finish the edges.

Well NOW I can see it, MOM - thanks, BAMA for helping out. A nice little frame w/an abstract design, and yes, do tell what the tiles are around the mirror. Congrats on your second piece. What's next.

Oh....duh......maybe you mean the tiles around the mirror - same black one's that are broken up in the mirror and then I glued a silver bead onto the middle of each one, too bad the name "slow" is already taken :)

Hi, MOM: If I could make one small suggestion on your grouting, before your grout completely drys, take a toothbrush and brush it out of the crevices on those troublesom vitreous tiles. I wouldn't do this if I felt you'd be offended, but in order to help newbies, I feel it is an obligation of those of us who are still learning - myself as being no. 1 - but have learned some tricks, and feel it necessary to pass them on as creative critique, never negatively.

I'm incredibly offended! Just kidding! Please! I welcome any and all suggestions because I'm not going to lie, it was really hard to get the grout off of those tiles (what I was able to get off). I kept wiping and wiping and then I was afraid I was going mess up the grout between the tiles. The beads were also very difficult and I didn't "uncover" them well enough either. They were really shiny and bright before and now are sort of lost...but I'm very glad to be learning and I thank all of you for your inspiration and advice!

Mom that is a really great mirror. I love the little touch with the beads. The toothbrush method that Slow mentioned works really really good!!!! Its how I got all the bb's uncovered when I did my chair...works like a charm!!!! Just dont brush it like your scrubbing a pan..just scrub gently!!

That's really pretty. Love the beads in the tiles. Whew, what an exercise in patience! Great job! I kind of like the less shiny look. In fact, sometimes I leave a little grout in the tiles if I think the look is right. (Or maybe, by then, that's what I'm telling myself.)
