LOL, i'm right there with ya. But mine is in a room that i have half of it, the other half is computers. Now we are just waiting and wishing the youngest one will move out soon. That way he can have his computer room back and i can have a whole room also. Lucky we can close the door. And i bought more stuff to do today at hobby lobby and bf says wear are you putting this stuff. LOL.. In the room it went. Still have my windows in the back of the truck i need to get out and store in my one storage shed. Boy if he finds out i'm taking that one up he will just roll his eyes. LOL.. But no he really is very supportive.

My computer is also in here, as is the TV that the kids play Guitar Hero on (dear God, if I here Slow Ride mangled one more time someone is going to DIE! lol) I've also got a small seating area and on the far end of the room is my sons weight bench - arg! Luckily the room is fairly big (maybe 10'x 20'?) so there's room for everything as long as everyone is NEAT about it. Just a few things left out and this place looks like a tornado went through it.

There's a fair amount of shelving in here and I scored some remnant fabric today for $1 a yard that I made curtains to hang over the shelves and under my work desk. I was super lazy and gathered and hung the curtains with my handy dandy hot glue gun :-) Now I've just got to clean off the top of the shelving - I've got lots of TBM'd junk piled on them!

I am so unorganized that I have finally quit stressing about it and have embraced the positive sides of it...
like the happy discovery of something I forgot I had, the much needed brain exercise of trying to remember what I was doing when I first started, and the great workouts moving boxes of stuff from one place to the other!

Icheer, I think this can be a problem for most of us. I have to keep my stash in the guest room closet. I work in my office/sewing room/mosaic room. Right now it is trashed to the hilt. I try to clear it up a little as I go along but I just have to close the door.

I am also a big fan of curtains. Just hiding the visual clutter helps. My room is only 10 by 10 plus the closet. I try to keep the guest room tidy and even just spent three days cleaning it up sorting and serious cleaning because we will be having company soon. Already there are pans of glass hauled out and sitting around in there. I do have shelves they can go back on in a hurry. That helps.

When we were going to custom order a manufactured home, before this place fell in our laps. I had my craft room with a 4 foot expansion in it making it 16 by 11. I have two china cabinets about the same size. I was going to divide the room off at one end with the china cabinets coming out from the walls like room dividers. Then I had planned a tension rid between them with curtain. There was a window in that end of the room special order. I was going to put shelves which I already had around the walls and backed up to the china cabinets making HUGE storage area. This would have helped to keep the working area neat and tidy. All of this was going to take up about 6 foot of that room all across the 11 foot. I know this would have been perfect. We were three days from signing the papers on that place everything in place and then we ended up here. Well this is a fine house but I was heart broken to loose my special designed for me room.Sigh

You should see my craft room . It's the most unorganized - weird collection of stuff in the world . At times I feel like a mad scientist ~ LOL . I used to be ashamed of it . It's right off of the kitchen & I never closed the door .
But I found that when people came in , I pointed to my "craft room" .... they went in there and just gasped in amazement ! I still don't know what they were amazed at --- my creativity - or the clutter ! LOL I've leaned to not care . Al my life my house has been cluttered with crafts
..... it's an admirable habit !

I'm not much help ,huh ? LOL I guess my hint would be - don't worry about it . ;-)

LOL I was looking through my online pictures. This is my working desk. It has changed just a little since this picture.{{!gwi}} Right now you can barely see the top of the desk for all the mosaic stuff on it. I do need to clear it off so I can do the cemetery books in a few days.

Ya'll have a ROOM to work in??!!!???? Well, I do,too......we call it The Dining Room :) It's sad because I have two spare bedrooms......but I can't get to either one of them! We brought all our stuff out of the storage we were renting after the hurricane,and both rooms are stuffed to the rafters! Outside we have the skeleton of a barn we're building,and hopefully one day the STUFFFFF will go out there. Right now I have odd cardboard and plastic boxes holding my smashed stuff in no particular order. Roses and flowers and birds are in another box. These right inside the door of my daughter's old bedroom and at the end of the hall:) My DH asked me to PLEASE not bring home any more until I use what I have. heh There's a lot of pretty plates out in the wide world and I'm going to buy as many as pleases me :) And of course I have to have something to glue the smashed plates on! And my other hobbies...Santa did bring me a very nice rolling tool box and some Ryobi tools,and DH (with a sad look on his face) gave me some of his tools because he said I use them more than he does. I decided to put my tools in there,and things for my jewelry,but it also has my buttons and other treasures I glue onto my mosaics.The tool box is in The Dining Room !

Power tools! I like a man who is willing to share, kudz! You're lucky. My dh will share for only a very short period of time...and a rolling tool box, why didn't I think of that!?

Dh actually gave up the back room of the basement to me but his stuff and DS#1's stuff are all in there too. I was in the laundry room which was just a constant disaster and irritating to me 'cause between the two messes I felt like nothing was ever really completed.

So I moved into the back room and took over the large metal, government issue desk. I also still have my table and the large metal shelf in the laundry area is still mine. It holds bowling balls, glass to smash and cut plus all my tbm.

Like shades I have picked out my house with my own work space...supposedly it will be mine by June. The space is only 8x9 but it's all mine. I won't have to share space with guitars, toys or anything else! But now you all have me thinking I should be a bit more selfish and add a foot or two...hmmmmm. Wish me luck on that one.

I have a whole room between the garage and my family room. It's always in total chaos, and the floor is always dirty, but hey, it works for me. I don't worry about it anymore.
