Well, you l'il heifer! That is absolutely spectacular. DH's change of opinion is too funny. Yeah, they have a hard time gettin' it sometimes. This is another work of art that words aren't enough to describe. I LOVE the drawer pulls, and those squigglies add just the right touch. The plates are wonderful. Well, you can see I highly approve of the whole thing. What size do you say your shards average? They are so perfectly placed like a puzzle. Just beautiful, CRACK!

Funny we usually break every dish in site! LOL

What a fun project! And beautifully done too.

I think many men had trouble visualizing a project. Maybe lots of people in general, but I know the man in my life can't. For our kitchen remodel, I had to get the elevation drawings, color them in and stand in front of the space with a tape measure in hand. He loves it too! LOL

I really like the background that you did with the squigglies and gems. Really turned out nice.

It turned out wonderfully, Annie! I love that you left the plates in tact... and your red accents are just perfect! Not too much... not too little.
A question... the big plates... did you leave a space for them... and attach after grouting? Or grout under the edges? Or....?
Do you mind more questions....?
The spoons and fork.... I guess I can't see them enough to know what kind they are? I saw some drawer pulls that looked similar.....?

OOOOOOOOOOOOO drool here. That is really pretty. Love the 3d effect of it.

Kate ,they are drawer pulls all of them,drilled holes for them cut off the backs and screwed them on with som glue underneath.I holled out part of the mirrow with my dremel so the plates would sit flat,,,I grouted first,glued on the plates then took craft sticks and a little paint brush to fill in around the plates so you could see them finished nice underneath if you were to look behind the plates..very tedious but worth the effort to me.
