Granite install right now!

Finally, my granite is being installed as I write this! So far, it is beautiful!!!!!!!!!!!!

Took 5 guys to carry it in & get it in place. My "U" shaped counter is being done in 3 pieces...seam at sink and one near b'fast bar where it turns to make the "U".

The ogee straight edge is beautiful. I will attempt posting photos when all is done.

I'm so excited I can't stand it!

It's Crema Bordeaux with natural maple cabs & stainless undermount sink.

I'm trying to get some decent pics but there's so much light coming in my window I get lots of reflection. I'm gonna wait til it gets dark then I think they'll turn out better. I have to say these guys did a FABULOUS job of fabricating & installing. They (five of them!)were here from 8:15 this morning til about 3:30pm. They come back Monday to drill faucet & airgap holes. So we can't install plumbing or cooktop until after that. There are still two clamps at the sink.
They put the sink in EXACTLY as I requested and as for seams...perfect. My DH who, by the way, has been fighting this remodel ever since the beginning, said "Aren't you glad I decided to do this?" It is sooo beautiful, I can't wait til everything else is completed.
If you are in the San Jose, CA area and want a fabulous fab/installer check out Ceramic & Stone Design.
I had said before I wouldn't say who I was using until it was installed and I was happy. Well, I AM HAPPY!
Hopefully, pics to come later tonight.

That is one gorgeous rock! I really love the waves and movement. What an ocean on Mars might look like?

No wonder you're so happy, that granite is to die for! I'm so glad to hear that it was worth the wait. Bet you can't wait for it to be all over with so you can start using it everyday. Great investmentI!

WOW!! I have never seen granite I like more :)

Such a beautiful kitchen! Love, love, love your granite. The movement in it is great. So pretty!

Your kitchen layout is similar to mine (yours is a smidge bigger). However, I just could get a glimpse of what my kitchen will look like in hopefully a month or so. Thank you! You helped me visualize! Right down to the flor. light box being removed. Can't wait. Now I am getting excited!

Love your door handles. Who makes them?

mustbnuts, I got the handles at YourHomeSupply.com They're made by Decorite (made in China). But, I had ordered about 8 different handles from them to see how I liked them and most were of good quality but I needed 96mm so that limited it somewhat. My DH actually made final decision b/c he said this one had more surface area of handle on cab compared to others. I got 45 each for $73...total.

Gorgeous! I didn't think I liked an ogee edge until I saw yours.

That is the most beautiful Crema Bordeaux I've ever seen.

    That granite is breathtakingly beautiful!

Sometimes I find the movement in granite to be overwhelming, but that is just somehow perfect. I'm not sure if it's because it has just the right balance of colour, and it's set off so well by your light cabinets= but have to say- Job well done!!!
