I've heard you can just tape it with scotch tape. I've also heard to mark it & then cover with glue stick. Haven't tried either though. The glue stick is from a stained glass pro.

I use a magic permanent marker to draw the design on the glass. It doesn't wash off w/the flow of water from the saw. I think NT used contact paper when she cut the hearts for her charms.
