In the first picture, what is in the container that, I think says..."Mosaic stop" or something like that..yellow and black container...I'm always curious to what others' use regarding mosaics!!!

OH HOW BEAUTIFUL. LOVE the design. In case HRSG doesn't answer right away, girlies, those are the little stones you get from HobLob in the mosaic section. They are very porous and can be cut w/sissors. If you use them, be sure and seal b/f grouting cuz it's hard to get the grout off them. I've used them several times.

Looks good. Il ike the bbs around the mirror. Remember, it's for someone else, so I think you are doing good with the pattern

The background will be a mix of the beads, glass and maybe mirror.

Slow is correct. The container has Mosaic Stones. These were some I found at the TS for 1/4 the original price, so I had to grab them. You know how that goes.

Have not decided yet on whether to use gems or not. For some reason I don't use them much.

Looks good so far, I didn't think I liked paisley until I saw it here for mosaics and not on clothing!!!lol! Good score on the stones!

As I saw on your flickr page, but I'll remark here. Can't wait for the finished project. I only have one concern about the bottom left and right in the picture. Could you fit a few more pieces of mirror where it's bare? It is not going to grout too well in those areas if there is no glass.

Oh, I completely did not notice those two corners. Thank you for pointing them out.

Beautiful job and yes the grout will come off easy if nothing to hold it,lesson I learned on one of my cross's I'm now repairing.It is really pretty.
