Hey BJB! Some people can just buy a book and have atter but I am not one of those people. You can look and see if one is offered in your town/area, there also is many many many websites that have very helpful tips, usually the places you can order yur supplies from. I would suggest as others here probably would too, it that you take a course first, to see if you like it as it's about $400 to get a good setup of tools, so you may want to see if you like it first as not to have to buy all that. What are you thinking you'd like to make, anything you'd like to particularily tackle?

I would positively take a class first.....like Calamity said..it can be expensive...so before you dive in totally...need to make sure you want to invest mucho $$$$. However, yes, some people do just buy a book, follow instructions and off they go! Guess it depends?
