Hi Last month I planted Johnny jump up seeds with my daughters 5th grade class, there growing like weeds! I want to make a mosaic planter to plant them in and give to there Mom's for Mothers day gift.

My first thoughts were tin can's brought in by the students for the containers.I would pop holes in the bottoms for drainage. I brought three tin coffee can's of broken up stained glass pieces in a few weeks ago for old fashion shaking / tumbling to smooth the sharp edges. I taped up the sides so kids could not open them.

now I have to figure out which way would be best to mosaic the cans. I figured we should glue on all the pieces then grout. I"m foreseeing a big mess with the grouting. does anyone have suggestions on how I should go about this messy final step ? Also what glue would work on Tin/Aluminum can's best ? Thanks JoAnn
