No mosaics lately...

because I just bought a kiln! It finally arrived Friday & got the electrical installed yesterday. I haven't been doing any mosaics lately because I've been focused on gathering fusing glass & supplies. I'm sure it'll be a little while before I make anything worthy of showing you gals. Stay tuned....

Gin Gin, have you seen the "hot mosaics" in Delphi's catalogue? can't wait to see you new creations. You have to share all your trials and experiences, lots of us will be living vicariously through you! lol

I got a Paragon Janus 1613 kiln. The Janus line of kilns are designed for both glass & pottery. I decided on this one because I used to do some pottery a few years ago & I may want to get back into that at some point. Plus I can make my own glass slumping molds, they're usually made of bisque fired clay. Oooo I can't wait to get started!

How Awesome!! Sounds like a dream machine!! I'd love to do both!! Got pics? Oh ya! We'll def be living vicariously thru you!! Except Slow...she'll run out a buy one now for SURE!!!heh heh!!! Oh the possibilities!!! Droolin'!!!

Pics of the Kiln? Sure, I can do that. I didn't think about taking any pics of the kiln itself, figured you'd only wanna see what came out of it. Cooking the first batch right now!

Still holding off cuz my body is slowing down and I've finally decided I can't do it ALL. Waaaaah. Anxious to watch your projects unfold.

I can't even do half of what I want to anymore. The mind is willing but the body rebels. Not to contribute to thoughts of a kiln slow but the craig's list has some listed most all the time. There is even one for 20 bucks but needs a cord. :)

I went all the way & bought a new one with digital controller & a port to hook it up to my laptop. Oh great fun that was firing it up for the first time on Monday! I can't remember the last time I was this excited about something. Now if I can find my camera I will show you pics of the blobs I made!
