Oh Hi! I actually just started fusing a few weeks ago. I LOVE it! I am having a total blast cooking glass in my garage. As for Kiln choices, there are many. It depends on a lot of things such as your budget, the size of pieces you want to make, whether you can install a 240 volt line or are restricted to 110 only. I went with a little bit larger 240 one. I highly recommend a digital controller. Preprogrammed or not doesn't really matter. The included schedules may be a place to start, but you're going to want to tweak them. As far as glass goes, some people buy & use both, but then you must be very careful to keep them separated and well labeled so you don't accidentally mix them. I only use Bullseye so far. There's about 5 times the selection of Bullseye at my local shop than there is of Spectrum 96. Still they don't have that much so I wind up buying a lot of my supplies online. I started with the Bullseye Studio Fusers pack which has a variety of sheet, stringers, frits & confetti.

If you haven't already, I highly recommend you check out www.warmglass.com. They have a nice tutorial and a good message board there. If you can find any local classes I'd suggest that too.
