oh what a frog, complete with pouty lips...if the sharp edges of broken dishes can be considered 'pouty'..lol

I really didn't know a project could be all the way finished in that short a time and is very helpful to put into my memory bank, thankyou...

that makes me want to make a garden project for my own mom, who is living with my brother. she's got severe dementia and can't do any of the things she used to do but would still appreciate something whimsical, like that.

Thank y'all. Just came in from mowing/edging/blowing the lawn. Lordy, it's gotten to be summertime in East TX. GEESH, it's hot out there. I brought home a 12"X12" square, 24-inch tall flue tile from Mo/Bro's. He has two, and I talked him into letting me mosaic them. In order to get it into the workshop, I backed the Jeep near, put the ramp from the Jeep to the rolling table, and pushed/shoved until I got-er-done. Can't wait to finish Ronnie's Frog so I can start on it. Gonna go back next month to take a bushel of peaches, and want to take this one and bring back the other one. These w/be on each side of their front steps. Their house is on the bank of the Ouachita River, and is built up on tall poles, and I can see these w/tall plants on top. Always have a great visit there, but EVERY TIME I go, I gain a notch in my belt. Back on THE DIET!

Slow, you dressed Myrtle up very cute! Love her bright red lips. Isn't nice when you can make someone smile with something simple? Love it!

What caught my eye on Myrtle were the little red toes? nails? I truly enjoy the imagination in these. That's something that if I was placing them on such a piece, I would be chuckling to myself.

Y'all are tooooo funny. LADY: I have another one of those little frogs. If you come see me, I'll mosaic it for YOU! TIFFY: OH YES - gotta have nail polish on my girls. I actually DO talk and laugh to myself, and OUT LOUD at that, as I'm working. When something actually WORKS, I thoroughly enjoy it, and enjoy the process. Sometimes I DO forget to eat, so it won't take long to feel comfortable again.

Really LOVE how you made the lips with the squiggley things! If you stopped giving away your frogs you could have a "family" by now. Your mom's frog is precious.

I tell ya all, Rosie and Slow are a piece to behold when they are working!! You truly see two women obsessed/passionate about what they are creating and boy they are speed demons!!!! If we all got together, I tell ya, we'd all be mosaicing our project, and they would be workin' on a 2nd project!!!! That's what happened in Mexico! It was a sight to behold and I'm looking forward to it again! Klinger and I are planning and scheming.....

Have you checked the workshops at the Haciendo lately. Didja get her message yesterday????? Doesn't Tess Sinclair's "Shrine" workshop look interesting? Even though I just completed what I call a divinely-inspired shrine for my DD#1, and know how to DO this, her workshop sounds VERY interesting. Y'all - help me decide which one to take, and say which ones y'all are looking at. Tess's looks the most interesting to me now, and I'm thinking I'll register within the next couple/three months. I'm VERY excited at the possibility of attending another one w/you two. OH, BTW - y'all weren't slouches EITHER about the passion you put into those projects. I could NEVER have constructed that hand you made. N.E.V.E.R. It has so many parts, and it was constructed so beautifully, and w/such ease. You l'il h h h e e - sweet thang.

Squiggleys aren't really my thing, but they sure did make some cute lips!
