Thank you all for the wonderful comments! I did not cement the blocks together because I will need to move this inside the shed in the fall. I used broken dishes and it was my first time using thinset. Put WAY too much on the block first so when I put my pieces on it squeezed up onto the top of the dishes. I decided to use the thinset for grout too and because it had squished up so much between the tiles it didn't take much to grout it. I used watered down black paint on the grout.

It seems to be very stable, plus it is in the corner so it won't come into contact with people.

Excuse me while I go outside and spit on mine. This is BEAUTIFUL! I love where you put it, and the BB on top is perfect. GEESH! Perhaps I should spend a little more time on the other sides of mine, and not just slap stuff on. Wonderful, CRAFTY - so neat.

Thank you Slow, it means a lot to me that you liked it so much! I loved yours so much and I didn't want to copy your idea so I had to do something a little different. I didn't whip mine out as fast as you did yours either but I'm very happy with my first attempt at doing blocks. It really brightens that corner up!
