Click on the blue bubble to "add a placemark". Then use the tools to zoom into your area, depending on how accurate you want to be. I placed mine on my street.

I think the three countries of the US, Canada, and Oz being separated by one language makes things easier for all of us. I can't imagine someone for whom English is not a first language trying to understand our weirdness most days!

OK, tried this on and off for a couple of hours - I left click on the blue bubble, then use the hand to move the map wa-a-a-ay to the west....use the + sign to zoom to my street. When I left click again it goes back to hrsg's street. What am I doing wrong???

hrsg....that was a good idea ....with the map....but I can't "add a placemark" either.... went into google and played a little bit...and when I go in and create a map, I can add a placemark....but I can't add one on YOUR map....that option isn't available to me....I read up a little bit on their HELP and it says "Note that you can only edit or move placemarks on your maps, not others." So I think it's telling us we can't do that? Also, just noticed that your map says "View only - Public" which I think means we can "view" it but can't "update" it?

That Google map is for single input.
Try Frappr [or Bravenet, not as good] if you want a multi user mapping system.

Hrsg! I have had sooo much fun, I didn't even know that I could see my house on a map WOW!!!! I played around the other day and got frustrated cuz I'm computer challenged bu I think I marked my place this time so here it goes....

Thank you for the welcome-back! We moved-in during Tropical Storm Barry, and I'm finally seeing the "light of day"! My studio is set up and I'll be teaching again, starting in July!
We love our new home, only two miles from our other house, but more room and closer to getting out to Charlotte Harbor.
I'm hoping to have a Studio Open House, set up a new schedule and get back to what I love doing the most: creating mosaics!
Also want to have another SW Gulf Coast "Mosaic Madness" workship, fun way to meet other artists!

It would be great to get to meet you! I'm north of Orlando though... on into Volusia Co. We don't get over to the west side very often.
We used to go to Tampa to visit my daughter but she and SIL have moved to TX. Used to play for the Tampa contra dances... but just don't do it anymore with gas prices so high, etc. But... maybe sometime we could meet in the middle... or if y'all meet in that area I might get way. It's back to being busy though... had to go back to work (school) on Tues. I'm worn out already!!! :)
