The stepping stone is pretty...love the colors!
Um, flower boob? I'm clueless...wondering if you're making a boob out of flowers? (not sure how that would work) or a flower with a boob?? or a flower that looks like a boob??? Or maybe I don't really want to know? Sounds INTERESTING though! lol

I think I am seeing that not EVERYBODY reads EVERY thread as I do. LISA, this is a continuation of a project CALAM started on another thread. CALAM. The stepping stone is perfect! Looks like the reinforcements w/work, and you're well on your way to having two more wonders! I am sooooooooo anxious to see these finished and mosaiced. You can really crank things out fast.

The dragon fly and the flower look so gracefull. You really captured the "feel" of them.

Great color on that stepping stone!! Can't wait to se the boob/flower and dragonfly mosaiced!!

Lisa- the thing she used to make her flower looked like a brest implant. Not so much now, but we still call it her boob/flower

Calam, I love your stepping stone. I am jealous of all the tiles you find for your stepping stones. I keep looking but obviously not in the right places. Can't wait to see glass on your other projects. Did you add another layer of cement or thinset for reinforcement?

Very nice stepping stone Janie, love that blue grout , is it the same as your bird bath? Your reinforcements look like they'll work. I'd wet them down a couple times today cause it's going to be so hot, maybe wrap some plastic over them, and even a wet towel. Then I'd not move them for a couple of days, let them get a bit of strength, good luck

Thanks CLW, I was gonna phone ya and bug you about that, the wings are reinforced with the coathanger pc and the mesh and motar but the underneath is mortar and some rolled up wire mesh, left over bits, hope it turns out, I think it will. I'll go put some plastic on it.

Boyohboy - is that gonna be a fabulous piece of garden OR inside piece of art. Quite unique, to say the least. Great imagination.

Are the rolls of mesh underneath going to fit inside the base or are they just going to be incorporated into the petal design? I'm also curious about the "coathanger pc." What is "pc"?

Hey Mad, pc is my short version for piece, and the wire mesh I rolled up is only 3 inches x 1 inch, and I tucked it under the wings to help the sagging factor. The lenth of the wings is got sort of a rebar in it that is cut up coat hanger, see, the wings were pretty floppy and so Klinger suggested to try and reenforce it with mortar and the coat hanger and also I used drywall mesh tape. ohhh, I can hardly wait to get started with the mosaicing!!

pc = piece? Oh man, I would've never gotten that.

It was smart to do the reinforing maneuvers-- that booger looks heavy for sure. I think this is my very favorite out of everything you've done.
