Sergio my name is Jim Rado and have a home in Port Aransas Texas. We have 9-9 0x8 0 high doors with one hinged in middle with a panel on each end. The doors on the ocean side of the home are completely caulked and painted with no visible air penetrations As are the others. Problem is that the interior casing ang a portion of the Sheetrock around the ocean facing windows show a 100 pct moisture content. On other sides of the home this same meter shows 6 to 15 pct on the trim and zero on the drywall. there is also leakage around the weatherstripping and threshold. i have been working with a responsive rep here but wanted to get another opinion since we Are having some mold issues. What steps would you take to determine what to do next? It has been determined by our rep that installation appeared to be in order. If possible pleas email me at jrado@dwhomes.com or let me know how to get in touch with you. I don’t usually get on this site so won’t see an answer. Thanks.

I am trying to find replacement handle for my Neuma doors. After many years the internal guts broke apart. The label on the door is 01496 if that helps.
This unit never had an outside key. If we replace is it possible to get one with a keyed entry?
We are happy with the doors, the installation and Quality Windows of Oxnard Ca. who we bought them from. Just needs a new handle now.
Thank you

Hi Sergio, I am trying to find parts for my Neuma exterior door. The lock turn key broke off. I am on South Padre island, TX. Do you have an email I can reach out to you at?

Christopher, Have you tried Zarsky lumber in Los Fresnos? That’s where I bought my door. Not sure on parts though.

I wish my Neuma doors would break so I can get something new. Mine came with the house so they’re at least 8 years old. Something on the door broke (handle or lock tab) and DH bought a new lock/handle set off the internet and installed it himself in about an hour. Sigh.

I bought 2 sets of Neuma patio doors with screens, one of which does not retract. Is there any way to clean the mechanism that retracts the screen?

We are looking at replacing a patio door at a beach condo in NC. Our contractor has suggested a full lite 3068 high impact Neuma door in prefinished smooth white. We currently have plantation shutters attached to the door we are replacing. Is it possible to reinstall these on the Neuma door?

Neuma doors has been hell to work with. We had a door delivered in packaging to assemble and install in a new home build. However it arrived damaged. This was mid November. The door was a few weeks late already. Our rep at Garris Evans contacted his rep to get a replacement piece. They said it would be expedited. We received the incorrect piece at the end of December. It is now February and the correct piece has still yet to arrive. My rep calls just about every day. I guess everyone is working from home and nobody has been of much help. We also had another door sent for another job. I had seen the paperwork from Garris Evans. The correct door was ordered and Neuma sent the wrong door. Actually they also sent another incorrect door but we just had to fir out the wall to get that one to fit. We have houses with open doorways that get boarded up because of Neuma Doors. And I'm scared we will never get this door piece needed.

Sorry to hear the sent the wrong piece. Seems like Gary Evans is on top of things so no need for me to get involved. Lead times are very long during the current issue we are facing. Freight ships are stuck at the LA port for months at a time before unloading and shipping to Houston. Plus with labor shortages and new personal at the facility, this is most likely the reason someone not familiar with product sent the wrong door/piece. If need be im also at your service, im the CA sales rep for Neuma Doors.

We are missing a frame piece that was broken in shipping since product was packaged poorly. We should have had a replacement Piece in November. This is not an entire door. It is one side of the frame. And no the Garris Evans rep has called only to be told really nothing. We are stuck with no foreseen date even when this will arrive. At least the doors had an ETA DATE!

That looks like one of the frame/header was broken. Text me at +15622752206 a full picture of only the broken piece so i can order the correct piece for you. Ill get that resolved for you asap.

Sergio, we had Nuema French Double Doors installed (they swing outward); though one door hangs lower than the other door and the latch freezes up and stops working when we see a slight drop in temperature. We’re located in central Florida which is strange why the latch freezes up with a change in temperature. With the doors being uneven, i wonder if the freezing of the latch is more du to the doors not lining up. Do you know if a representative would come out and that a look? The doors are less than 9 months old. Thanks!

Sounds like there is a installation issue, this cause the doors not line up. Please contact Blair Waller our Florida rep adoorguy@hotmail.com

Hi Sergio,
You mentioned that "There is a piece we use to make the non active panel fixed". How do I do that? I have french doors in a vacaiton rental, and guests don't understand that you have to lock both sides! I would like to be able to ensure that the non active panel remians locked at all times,(unless we need to open it to move furniture). Thank you. Lisa

- Does the handle go up and down? This should disengage the flush bolts. If it goes up and down but is still stuck up top, the flush bolt has unraveled and needs to be tightened back into place. (Clockwise so it has clearance to open again). Sometimes there is enough room between header jamb and panel to achieve this.
If not, you will have to remove the center lock box on that panel, (to remove bolt) then replace with new flush bolt activator box, screw bolts back in and your in business.
Sergio@neumadoors.com if you have more questions or need instructions on how to do.

Hi Sergio. We have a 12’ sliding door that we got from Zarsky Lumber here in South Texas. Installer did an amazing job and we love the look and quality. The only thing I’m having a hard time with is pullig the door open that first inch, to break the seal. Will that get easier in time or anything I can adjust. Sometimes I have to really tug on it to get it started.
Thanks!

Kevin,
In the astragal there are two lips( one of each side) that run from top to bottom. They create the suction and sometimes makes it hard to open.
What i have seen is that some customers opt to remove the interior lip. This will resolve that tug. It will also get easier with time, however not sure how long.Sergio Casas

Hi Sergio,
The top screw on my sloding door has come loose and appears to be too short to grab the outside piece. I’ve inspected the bolt and it’s not stripped. Can you advise how I might fix it? appreciate your help sir.
Kevin

There’s a great possibility the exterior side section that grabs the screw might have strip. Im guessing you tried compressing them together then tried screwing and its just wont grab?
Remove handles set and look closely. It might have a slight damage.
The screws are always a standard length so i don’t think thats the issue. Feel free to call me.

We have had our Neuma doors for close to 20 years and never had any problems until 2 weels ago when we had a Home Invasion. These thieves broke into the house breaking through our large glass Neuma door with a sledge hammer. That began the saga of trying to find someone to help
with these great doors. I called all the nearby distributers of the Neuma doors ( that were on the companies website in the LA area) all of them were either no longer in business or no longer working with Neuma door!!!!! I emailed and called the Neuma door company numerous times and had no luck contacting anyone . Same problem many on this site have experienced! It was my great fortune to come across the above menttioned rep for Neuma doors, THE AMAZING ....SERGIO CASAS! He has been a lifesaver! It had been 8 months since anyone left a comment about him. But all the glorious recommendations about him are completely true and accurate. I texted him and recieved a response within an hour. I sent him pics of the destroyed door . He couldn't have been more professional, helpful and informative! From the pics he said all i needed was to
just replace the glass and the door fixtures!!!! i thought for sure the entire door needed to be replaced! Nope , SERGIO Knows everything about the Neuma doors and his diagnoses was completely accurate and not only ordered the parts the same night I called him, but he showed up at my home IN JUST 3 weeks with the glass and door hardware . Everything fit perfectly and 2 hours later i stead of having to spend $6000 for a new door I had a perfectly fixed door for about 1k and he even cleaned up and took the broken parts with him! If you ever need help with your Neuma door Sergio is the man! He is experienced, knowledgeable, kind, friendly and completely honest and dependable!!!!!!! Thank you so much Sergio!

I need help with double Neuma doors in Livingston TX. The tongue won’t come out to catch in the other door. Therefore you cannot leave the door unlocked or it will blow open. Been trying to get help for four months. The warranty company is Showcase Window and Door. Horrible. They sent a tech out. The went right back to broken two hours after he left. Now they won’t even return my call. I’m at my wits end. Can you help me?
