You would not believe what I saw!

Pull out a kleenex this is a sad one.

DH and I went to the movies at our local mall on Saturday - saw Die Hard. Great fun! - but I digress. As we are leaving the mall we walked by Urban Outfitters, I'm looking in the windows and all of the sudden I noticed 3 employees kneeling on the floor sweeping up a STACK of broken dishes into a big box! I yelled! OMG! I want those to mosaic with! Hubby looked at me like I had grown horns and promply said I'll be at Barnes & Noble! LOL I ran into the store and asked if I could have the broken dishes and THEY SAID NO!!! Store policy requires them to inventory them out!!! I wanted to cry. They were gorgeous patterns and when I got close to the big box they were using it was half full! I told hubby that I was thinking of dumpster diving that evening! LOL Like Indiana Jones - follow that box! He laughed at me. I told him you guys would have killed for it! LOL

I called the store again this morning and spoke to the manager and again she turned me down.... ;-(

Yeah, what nice said. I was in Hobby Lobby one day when I heard this awful crash, I practically ran to where the mis-hap occurred. I didn't ask for it though, it wasn't anything I could use. They did get some framed mirrors in one day and the lady unpacking them said I could have them for a real cheap price. They were broken in shipping.

What is that website where you can complain about companies?? Planet something. Be worth putting a comment about it.

Sheesh, they could have inventoried it out and sold them to you for a buck or two

I have tried to get marshalls and Ross to let me get there broken things too and they say they have to throw them in the trash..I even offered to pay for some things and they said no too..I think that is ridiculous doesn't make any sense at all Pier One turned me down too.Annie

Neither w/Lowes give/sell you broken tiles. Must be a legal issue - probably covering themselves from lawsuits of some kind. Guess you could raid their dumpsters.

My Lowes here will. He told me to be there on Saturdays. He said thats when they inventory out the broken tiles and I could have them if I was there, but they wouldn't hold them for me.
