SLOW is visiting Bro and Ma in Louisiana for a few days--back on Tuesday. Don't know what her schedule looks like but mine is free til the convention in early April.
BTW, I live a block from SLOW so that'll be real convenient.

Hey, y'all. WHENEVER y'all can agree, I'll move anything I have planned to fit. I can't believe this is really gonna happen but I'm very excited to see the interest. The weather in Sept/Oct. is wonderful as well as May/June. We could have two, doncha know. Hey, CALAM - that tent sounds wonderful, and the weather is the best in the months mentioned above. It's pretty nasty now - hot/humid.

Word just came from DD that Sept. 22 is the Four States Fair, so she, her friend, GD and her friend w/be here for that weekend, that date is not moveable for y'all.

So we're down to 1, 8, 15, 29! Terrific, getting it narrowed down! More input??

I never heard of the 4 Sates Fair slow, where is it? I went to the State Fair in Dallas last year, first time in many years.

Oh man!! This is great! Sept. isn't a good month for me though. The 18th is our 20th anniversary and we will be on a cruise or somethin'for about a week.
I will look forward to the next one though.
Can't wait to have a mosaic throw-down!!

LIL: The Four States Fair is in Texarkana, Arkansas. Texas, Arkanasa, Oklahoma and Louisiana. Stateline Ave. in Texarkana divides TX and AR, and LA and OK not far away. It's an old-fashioned fair w/ferris wheel, awful, sickening rides I experienced w/GD a few yrs. back, and fair food, the whole shebang. You're close enough to come and partake of our country ways. All my beds w/be filled that weekend, but y'all are welcome to come, hang out here, and stay in motels at night. It only takes a few hrs. to see the fair. From 9:00 pm-2:45 am Fri/Sat nights w/find DD/friends and me dancing at the Electric Cowbow on the AR side. Bring your boots and come join the fun.

I ve made the drive to Texas once before it wasnt fun we made it to lubbock and back in a weekend going to pick up a friends kids with them. but if I had a few days to get there it wouldnt be too bad we would probably just get a room and bring DH and DD too.

Welcome to all. Like I say, I have two twins, a double bed, a sleeper sofa and a fairly comfortable regular sofa, and floor space.

Had to go way over to page 3 to find this thread! Is anyone still seriously thinking about this? I still love the idea. Only hangup is, I've learned we have a ladies' retreat weekend Sept 21-23, and don't know if DH will let me have TWO whole weekends for myself in the same month :O I'll have to ask, but thought I'd bring it up with you guys again, what with CHICKEE and SEAGLASSIC meeting, and now LILYM and CURBDIVER meeting. Call me jealous, but I want in on the fun!

Sept and Oct are out for me..Dr's appt's and grandson getting married.2nd week in may out also, going to puerta Vallerta with friends...at least I'll get to see the Hacienda.....I would love to meet everyone but know there will be times not everyone can go sooooooooo since Slow is Queen I think she should pick a date maybe next April it will be cooler and everyone can plan and save money to go ...but I will try my best,I would love to hang out with all of you!Annie

Sept. is out for me as of yesterday when DD said she's got it filled up. October, November are still good weather-wise. Spring would be prettier w/the garden in bloom. How about April/May??? I'm going to PV before that, so it's up to y'all. LADY, LIL - y'all can come by yourselves in Oct, doncha know, and we can have another session for those who can't make it 'til spring.

Any week but the second week in may is good for me ,I do so want to meet all of you in person.Slow when will you be in PV? some friends have invited us to spend a week with them there in their condo the second week in may?if your there then we'll hunt you up and buy you a margarita or 2..3????????????
