ExCUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSE ME!!! This is absolutely the most wonderful thing I've seen in a VERY long time. Girlie - don't you DARE put yourself and this work down. This is exquisite. I LOVE this. WHERE did you come up w/a design so beautiful? What are the two round things - on each side of the center plate surrounding the white half marbles? The little mini tiles add so much to this whole thing, and I just love the white half marbles. Just fabulous!!!!!

Thanks Slow those are from the jewelry dept where I work, I have the best job AT A CRAFT STORE LOL. I had no design in mind I just started laying things on it and if I didn't like them I moved them around. When I was satisfied I glued and glued and glued. I think I am confused. Was the headboard cane to begin with and you added a board ot mosaic on or was I not seeing the first pictures right?

HOLY COW! That is AMAZING!!! (and yes, I'm yelling!) That looks like something you'd pay a fortune for in a store! That is beautiful!!! It came out superb!

(Now, I'm not so sure I even want to share my first piece after everything I've witnessed here!) I will... but WOW! Each new item I see amazes me even more! Someday I hope to have the eye to do such work :)

Thank you all so much, and yes Shades it had a cane insert that I just traced a pattern and cut quarter inch birch then glued and screwed it over the cane. I got 2 of these headboards at a GS for $5 each. I have 2 granddaughters and a great granddaughter so I have to find a few more at GS hopefully this weekend we have a ton running. The wood was so nice you could tell they were expensive beds so I didn't want to paint them. Bev

Funny Ronnie, I was thinking the same thing about her name every time I saw it until I typed it when I commented on her birdhouse tile, and it suddenly hit me her name was Bev like my mom. Glad I'm not the only one who thought that! LOL

Bev, I can't believe you only paid $5 for that beautiful wood headboard!!! I love your pattern, and the colors do look so vintage. You look like you have been doing this a LONG time.
