I might try this one - life has pretty much gotten back to normal now. I'll wait & see.

Have to pass - my life has speeded up or I've slowed down!!!!!! More on my plate than I can handle.

Maybe - depends on due date....DD and her 2 kids have moved back in with us so got a little chaos right now...

BTW - how about a theme instead of a particular object? Someone suggested this a while back and it sounded like fun...just a thought.

If we did one, how about something like a 8 or 10" terra cotta saucer? That way we could each get our own and they'd still be pretty much the same item.

Fall sounds good here,too. DD and the GK's will probably still be here, but we will (hopefully!!) have gotten the house re-arranged and things will flow smoother!

Crystal, another idea that I got from a previous SAMA conference swap is to swap mosaic materials. At the conference they suggested a brown bag exchange with items that might be related to your native environment or mean something special to you. Just another idea to toss around.

Another idea I like is to do a "Challenge".

Come up with a theme, and everyone who wants to participate submit an entry by an agreed deadline. Then the group could vote a winner of the challenge.

Possible Ideas:

A specific color
Flowers
Freeform/Abstract
Old is new (recycle project)
Water
Make a BB

Anyone like this idea?

I love the swaps. the idea of a challenge doesn't appeal to me right now.

The idea of mosaic craft items, maybe...don't know about the native thing, no one is getting pewbaic tiles LOL.

Nothing says all can't be done though and we can choose to participates in one all some or none!!

Hi Hrsg !! I called the first swap "a challenge" . But after seeing all the wonderful finished projects - I couldn't choose just one if my life depended on it. We then changed the name to a Swap. Each frying pan was so different & unique , I think everyone would have been a winner ! We also have to think of the weight for postage ... I think BB's would be out ! LOL Speaking for myself - I like it when the project is narrowed down to a certain thing ... themes & recycled things would make my head explode - there are just so many choices ! We have till fall to think of it - I'll have to rest my brain up for this one :)
