Purple Dresser grouted

Well I felt well enough to grout this baby. Sort of. I did it any way. Not sure which was making me more ill. the flue or?? or having this all glued and not feeling up to grouting it. I have been so anxious to see it done.

I still need to do some fussy cleaning but need to wait for the grout to set up more. What needs to be removed is a little silicone on the glass and I do not want to poke my scraper into the grout lines.

OK Now I did this all backwards from what every one else does. The fill in is a dark purple and all in all it was looking too dark for me. So I grouted in a lighter purple. Petunia Purple in the Apple barrel paints brand. I am happy it lightened it up some.

This is the dresser I plan to sit Louise on.When I get more glass in the right color I think I will mosaic the drawer fronts. If I had it to do over again I think I would have painted the dresser top white to reflect the purple as it is it made it darker. I had planned to do it all in clear glass with splatters of the iridescent and things evolved.

I am done in and going back down for another nap.

OHHHHH, Shades... THATS BEAUTIFUL! really extraordinary.

I'm so sorry that you're feeling badly, I hope you get better quick... something about being sick in the summer - so much worse that winter illness... big hugs and a pat on the head!

Whew doggie! That is just "plumb" purdy!! Really, it is. It does seem to have a jungly look to it. I'm not sure who Louise is, but I bet she'll enjoy sitting on it!!

Ronnie..git thyself to thy bed. The world is not gonna be in any worse shape without your pickled eggplant!!!

Louise is your female torso, right? She is going to look MARVELOUS, DARLING! sitting atop that wonderful, jungley dresser! I can't wait to see a pic with both in it! Get lots of rest, Chris. Being sick SUCKS!

Gee Thanks Ya All. I am anxious to get a picture of Louise on it and if she looks awful then plan B. LOL Not sure what Plan B is yet.

I visited with Crackpot Annie and it was her good idea to do the fill in with triangles and told me how to do it. A first for me. Forgot to add that in my first post. Triangles are fun and since I had three false starts I have lots of them cut up in clear and two shades of turquoise green. I would have made you all crazy with the pictures of "What about this or that or or or." Poor Annie. Thanks for putting up with me on this one!!

OK While I am still awake I am going to try to catch up on some of the posts I have missed.

Ronnie you take care of yourself too!!! Good heavens running a fever and still working. Not good. I don't think I had a fever. I really am getting better by the hour and soon I am going to try eating something.

Chris ,it turned out just PERFECT!!!And I still think it has a miami south beach art deco style to it...it will do Louise proud and vice-verasa LOL!!!Loved chatting with you on it and so glad purple is what we chose....it is just right to me and you did such a good job on it!Take care of your self my friend!Annie

Great job - can't believe you just nip those pieces into shape. Looks like a very long process but you finished it quickly. VERY BEAUTIFUL.

Yes I am better Thank you. Playing catch up in the house and yard. Beeen over 100 degrees here for days and things are drying up.

OK Plan B Louise looks fine on the dresser. The dresser does not look fine where it needs to be to sit under Louise. Sigh. This house is so small I MUST use every inch of space. So I put the dresser back in the closet, NO doors on closet and have my sewing box on it.

I hope to cut a piece of wood for the top of the commode Louise has been sitting on and mosaic it. I would do mosaic driectly on the top of the commode but it is not a stable top. It is split and warped. It will be fine to do it on a board and I will just have to put an edging on it. Ah Ha another project TBM :^)))

You know for about ONE MINUTE, or less, I felt I was out of TBM projects. Then I came to my sences and I have many TBM projects left to do. At least two table tops and now this board for the commode and then the TP holder I will turn into a little shelf and the medicine cabinet Heheheheh Enough for now. This mosaic is addicting. And my hubby thinks he is going to move. Going to have a harder time of it with all the furniture covered in mosaic.
