This is a wonderful place. I love being inspired and encouraged by everyone also. It really pushes me to keep creating, knowing that I'll get feedback from my pals here.

Me too - I'm constantly inspired and awed by the great work I see on here, and the great atmosphere on this board. And like you, I often find my questions answered before I have to ask them:)

to check in and see the progress of all projects going on.
my own current work, is getting rid of the paper clutter in the house, to recycle. I'm doing better than I thought I would. it's hard to part with magazines and old treasured papers but some things just gotta go.

I keep telling myself that anything I could possible find in a magazine, is on the internet, so it makes it a bit easier to justify.
the posted pictures on here are my constant motivation, to keep doing what I'm doing, so I can get to where I can sit down and work on some projects soon.

Love it here! It's great to see all the different ideas and styles. Back before I was posting I remember checking in constantly to watch the swaps. It was so cool to see the different take that everyone had on the same swap item. It's so exciting to see pics of what everyone is working on and I really love the WIP posts. It's very helpful to see what the pre-mosaic inspiration was - gives me a lot of new ideas and teaches me to look at things in a whole new light.

I totally agree - just can't keep up w/all the inspiration and ideas I get here. Tips and info have helped me a great deal.

Years ago, when I first started mosaicing, I kind of drifted off because I ran out of things to mosaic. Here and there I would do a project. Since I found this forum I wonder how I ever thought "there is nothing to mosaic!!" Plus all the tips and tricks I've learned here WOW Thank you everyone!!

I so agree that this is one of the most inspirational places to be. Ive never posted any pictures but Im always so excited to see everybody elses. I really haven't done that many mosaics but enjoy them so much. I probably would have more time to do them if I wasn't always on here looking at everybody elses wonderful work. sad, huh? :)

hrsg....I so agree with everything you said. I'm so thrilled to have found this place and these wonderful people. Love the sharing that goes on and the "positive" and supportive spirit of everyone here. It's so interesting to see so many different styles of work - and love it that it's a "combined" forum with stained glass AND mosaic - it opens us up to so many ideas. Just love it here.

I totally agree with everyones comments! This forum has changed my life, I know that sounds stupid, but I have no friends that share my creative side, they just don't get it! One friend asked me if I stain my own glass. Before I found this forum I was all alone with my thoughts and ideas for glass. Thanks everyone, for being just like me!!

Squirrelly... I understand what you're saying. My friends are teachers or musicians... or that's what we do and talk about together. HEY... maybe they TOO are hidden glass and tile cutters!!! :)

Anyway... y'all have been an amazing help and an absolute pick-me-up many, many times! I have learned SO much from everyone and click to this forum whenever I turn on the computer! Love the pictures!
Only trouble is... now I'm overFLOWING with ideas and 'want to mosaic' thoughts!

I've been down and out for awhile, both physically and emotionally and haven't felt like doing anything but plodding through. The only thing I have been doing is checking in with all the wonderful work you guys have been doing. With the push of your enthusiasm, I've finally started some projects after months of blah and it's making me so much happier. Just finished a vase for a friend and am cutting glass for a birdbath. I'm very thankful for your inspiration.

I read posts on here everyday. Is that sad? Can't help it. If I don't see what Slow is up to, or find out if Kelly has decided what color the walrus is gonna be, or see the final pic of the boob flower, how can I get through the rest of my day? I can't.

I want to respond to everyone but I feel silly saying ditto all the time and heaven knows I don't have enough expertise to answer most questions.

So let me join the chorus and say, I am thankful for your help and insight and even if I don't post to you, everyone's work is always beautiful and inspirational!

I've been too busy to mosaic in several weeks now, my poor little unfinished chimney is sitting near my knee right now looking up at me pitifully. It whines at me daily, "You have time to look at all THEIR work every day, how come you don't get back to MEEEEE??" Some fixes we need every day, some we don't. I've been posting less lately, but still probably don't miss a day that I get on at least once to see what's up. DH will ask, "What are you doing?" I usually have to say, "Just hangin' with my homies." He knows what I mean :)

I call you my garden gals! But Homies is more like it!!! Even DH is in love with The Gals he's met so far and wants to meet more of you!!!

We really are just a bunch of EXTREMELY talented ladies in many many different ways. The encouragement is awesome. I know myself sometimes I have taken the words out of context a few times but when that happens people are so quick to explain it right so they can convey what they are trying to get across.

Its kinda like living with your best friend ALL the time..you love them dearly and would do anything for them but some days ya just wanna throw then off a bridge and then go run them over with the truck!!! Help them get off the ground, dust them off give them a big hug (cause now you FInallly feel better!)You gotta know how moody we girls can be and as long as we are all forgiving for those "time" we all do marvy!!!!!!!!!

Boy oh boy do we gals think alike or what? I'm on a twice a day forum habit. My DH rolls his eyes, but it keeps me out of other trouble. I am constantly inspired by the work you all do. I have so many ideas floating around my head I can't sleep. Maybe I should stop shopping for supplies and get busy. I really enjoy the time I spend with you!

I just started posting this summer and started out with a bunch of questions! It feels so wonderful to be accepted by such a terrificly talented bunch of gals (have ther ever been any men?) No matter. DH wonders that if I was as excited to post pictures of a clean house as I am of a WIP (or a finished project) maybe things would be a little neater around here. Whatever!! I love to do this stuff and I love to take requests and make stuff for others. That way they pay for all the supplies!! Anyway, this is a great hobby and an ever better place to share it. Its probably a good thing that our computers at school won't pull up the forum. That way I have to only look at home and not at school (and subsequently, keep my job!)Everyone here is so inspirational adn motivated that sometimes I can't believe I've never met anyone in person!

I so enjoy this forum. I seldom post but I check it first thing in the morning and last thing at night, and sometimes when I can't sleep I am visiting it at 3 AM. I have been too overwhelmed the last few months to post much, plus I have been without internet access several times recently; don't know what to do about that but I get sooo frustrated when I can't get online. Anyway, I get lots of inspiration from y'all and I send links to your works in progress to my friends. Thanks, you guys!

Yes ladies ..I too feel like you all are my bestest friends.Before retirement I had lot's of girl friends I shared things with but most have moved away or they still have small kids...and none of thing did anykind of art work so after a bout 4 yrs I started to get depressed and really lonely..TIL I found you one night while searching mosaics on the internet...don't remember what question I asked but up GW popped and it's been all uphill since then.I'm never lonely because I can visit here a couple of times a day and it makes me feel a part of something.I look forward to seeing what everone is doing and showing my pieces to you too.Thanks for sharing your lives with me .Annie

( I just thought of this ) so many forums have a "clique" ... people that have been posting a long time - they have inside jokes - inside information - have personal friends and talk about stuff only THEY know about. I too feel the same as you guys .I don't post a lot .I do come in here every day.I have learned a lot here.I think we do and learn more here than those 2 yahoo group that are supose to be good they are to hard to read.
I would rather be mosaicing than any thing .I do love gardening only when it not hot. I hate house work but feel so guilty a bout my house when I rather be mosaicing .

I haven't posted in quite awhile....but I do lurk daily and read all the posts......I have learned so much from this friendly bunch of mosaicers! When I am in a slump, all I have to do is check this forum out to get inspired. I have done some new projects, but haven't taken the time to send them to PhotoBucket, etc..to share with everyone.....

I agree with everyone else, I usually try to check in here daily. I also feel kind of dumb adding the same comment that everyone else has already made. For awhile, I tried making a comment for each post but then I was spending even more time in here...and that means less time for mosaicing. It seems like as soon as I would post my comment than someone else added a new post, so of course I had to answer that one and before you know it, I realized that I had been online for several hours!!! I do enjoy seeing what everyone has made, I usually get inspired all over again. It's great to know that I am not the only one who enjoys the hunt in finding the perfect dishes, or perfect item to mosaic!!! I really enjoyed being part of the watering can challenge. Thanks ladies for giving me my daily dose of inspiration!!!!

this is a really good thread. I deffinatly dont get to post as much as I want to but i try to stop by if I have a minute and see what everyone is working on. As for inspiration I was seriously lacking that when I found this place and since my cup runneth over with inspiration. I have seen so much I really want to do right now but unfortunatly I just cant split myself into 10 people to get it all done. But I have to say you are the liveliest bunch of girls I have ever not met before LOL!
