My day with Seaglassic

Well I have to say the Seaglassic ran me ragged yesturday!!!!! We met for breakfast at 9am, when she got out of her car she had a baby in here arms wrapped in a blanket..I said "Oh you have a baby" and she said "yes, your baby" and unwrapped it to show my frying pan from the frying pan exchange!!!! I laughed, it was soo funny!

After breakfast we went to shipwreck beads (a warehouse of a beadstore in Washington) and I bought a few beads. We were going to leave my car there and I was showing her the current WIP I was doing which I had in the back of my car and then she surprised me again!!! This time giving me a beautiful Hosta and a Fuschia plant that she grows.

From there we went to a glass store to look around and I bought a sheet of gluechip (gonna try to make my own Van gogh!!) and she scored me a huge pile of mirror that had been broken and thrown in their garbage. They even wrapped it in paper for us. The Olympia community center had the coolest mosaics in it..which I have attached a link to show you all.

We drove around Olympia parking and checking out some of the cool shops they have, and then on to Shelton to the 2nd hand stores that she likes to go to. After that it was off to Walker park to pick up beach glass. I got quite a bit of beach glass to use on a future project and will be looking for more when on vacation next week.

I know this post does not really do the day justice as I am defenitely not one to be a great storyteller. I did however have a wonderful time with a wonderful lady and got two meet one of her lovely daughters and two of her beautiful grandsons.

I did not get to post all the pictures I took but here are the cool mosaics we saw...enjoy!!!!

Sounds like you two had quite the day!
Where were those fish at? They're really neat. Was the "paper fiah" mosaiced with paper?
Can't wait to see what you do with the beach glass!

OH MAN, WHAT A WONDERFUL DAY!!!! I Love those fish!!!! Especially the penny one!!! I woulda loved to hang with you two!! The baby! LOL!!!! hee hee hee hee!!!

Baby in a blanket....that is so funny!!!!! Sounds like you both had a wonderful day together.

I am intrigued with the penny fish. I just finished a penny BB and after seeing that pic my DS does have one fish left that I don't think fits in with the others in his room so I think I might try that as a surprise for him.

That penny fish sure is popular! I think I shall do it, too! Oh, Oh! Then we could have a school of penny fish! Too cute! OK...who goes first?

How fun,wish I had a buddy to pal with, that likes to mosaic like I do,i would love to have hunted for sea glass with you all we don't have that on our Texas beach where I live.happy for you two!

The fishes were at the Olympia community center. They were so awesome.
The paper fish was in fact mosaiced using pieces of paper and looked like it had a finish over all of that.

I have no idea what I am going to use the seaglass for..its pretty cool but I have no ideas yet!!!!

We (Becky and I) would have loved to have been able to hunt for glass and shop with all of you..could you imagine..we would be quite the crowd!!!

I dont get it.... how did you do a bowling ball with pennies? Really interested because that is my name and it would look good in front of my house. Plz tell
