Very nice work. That frog..WOW!! Looks big enough to be a frog HOTEL! I also really like the dog picture. The frame design is nice. The worm is just too cute!

I've been doing this probably 2 years. Yes have a serious addiction to it. I love to cut micro pieces of glass to cover things. Right now am working on a terra cotta frog that has taken two 10x20 sheets of green glass and one 8x10 glass for his chest. All done with triangles. Soon I will be starting on a halloween pumpkin with 1/4" squares of orange with black grout. I just love all the work I've seen on this forum.

Welcome Sirius, love your stuff, especially the frog. The frog you are currently working on sounds huge! How big is it?

It is probably 12" high by 16" long. It weighed nine pounds before I started putting glass on it. I wanted to add that I hand cut each piece (sometimes 1000 for one statue) and don't own a grinder. I've just started putting pictures in the photobucket. Here are a few more I finished this summer:

I LOVE your work. I had put a message in BAMA's thread to you, w/o looking at this thread first. WELCOME. Your work is wonderful - very precise and colorful. Oh, it's so nice to have more eye candy from another one w/the disease.

Beautiful! That frog is great. I'm sure it just shines in the sun! The ladybug was cute, too! How did you do that dog? Are you able to see things as stained glass, or did you use a computer program?

I really like your worm!! Then the frog..they are all great but those two caught my eye. Welcome to our madness. Now for the membership dues...you have to go out and buy at least two items from a second hand store and wa-la you have paid your dues!!! (just kidding)

Thanks everyone for the nice comments. The dog was originally a picture I drew of my dog and then one day I thought I would try transferring the picture to the glass in a picture frame. Took a long time to get that one done. Don't use any kind of computer program for anything. I kind of look at an object and then just go for it with color choice. I live in North Carolina for the person that asked. Here are a few more:

What!!! From NC?? FINALLY!! I don't feel so alone anymore!

I found the buddha at Big Lots for about $10.00. I do a lot of browsing around there, Garden Ridge, get some stuff from e-bay. My next project should be coming in the mail - a halloween pumpkin, that should be fun.

OH MY GOSH!! Your stuff is FABULOUS! I especially LOVE the bluebird! He's (or she's) GORGEOUS! Tell me, what is the glass you used for it? So glad you joined us, I have two southwest style coyotes that I've been staring at just knowing that my pieces would be too big of scale but the micro mosaics would be perfect...seem to forget about that. THANKS for sharing and WELCOME!!

Did you add some more pics to your photobucket? How did I miss that bluebird? Where did you find the bird statue for that? Please say somewhere near me and that it was cheap!!

oh yeah, you DID add more pictures to your album. OMG - the bluebird - FANTASTIC!! And those pots - I just love all your pots - they are gorgeous. And every time I look at that buddha I'm amazed all over again. Beautiful work, so glad you joined us.

The bird I'm sorry to say came from Kohl's during the summer when all their outdoor stuff was on sale. The glass I used for the bluebird was Van Gogh Blue and used the blue/green on the tail and wings. That one was a pistol to complete. Sometimes by the end of the project I am absolutely sick of cutting small pieces, and my arm is beyond hurting but it is my stress relief and keeps me out of trouble!
